I've ben watching the Star trek franchise over netflix for a little over 4b months so far, i hav finnished the original series and am halfway through the second season of TNG.

anyways, i was wondering why no one ever teleports some sort of bomb, or antimatter (they teleported antimatter in the episode "Obsession", so we know it to be possible)into the enemy ship. This would seem like a fairly effective strategy, but as far as i know, such ideas were never suggested or used.

Usually, ships can't beam through shields (excepted when convenient to the plot).
