Nah, they didn't retain him for this season, unfortunately.
But man, being a Pistons fan feels so good right now.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyMr. Silver, Tear Down That Wall: It’s Time to Let the 16 Best Teams Into the NBA Playoffs
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Thing is, if you did away with conference lines in the playoffs, then the whole point of conferences and divisions is lost, and strength of schedule any anything scheduling related would have to be reconsidered.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYou can easily retain divisions and conferences for scheduling.
And besides, the West are doing better than the East even though they have more games against each other. Even a change in scheduling would improve things for who gets to the playoffs. The only place where scheduling will really matter in that scenario is geographical considerations, and that's ALL.

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Memphis still has to travel a long distance during the playoffs anyway (cuz Memphis being in the WC makes sense how...?)
I wonder if the NBA is going to have redistricting before an expansion to 32 teams, if either occurs.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyTrade deadline stuff: Dragic bros. go to the Heat, the Sixers are idiots, the Prince of the Palace returns, KG goes home to Minnesota, and this.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!Alright, so with Jordan retired, A.I. retired, Kobe retired, Shaq retired... Yeah, there's Lebron, but aside from him, who is going to be that guy?
Plus, when Kobe, Duncan and Dirk retire, who is left that we can count on as franchise players?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyDunno. The NBA these days is musical chairs.

Is Robert Horry a hall-of-famer?

Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams! What do you mean by *that guy*? Dudes like KD, Westbrook, Harden, Curry... they're gonna be running the league (as they pretty much are already).

Some bit of trivia: Kobe once had a shoe deal with Adidas, who made a KB 8 shoe for him. After he signed with another brand, Adidas renamed the shoe the Crazy 8.
Fast forward to when Kobe live-tweeted during a replay of his 81-point game, where he famously called Matt Bonner the "Red Mamba".
And after Bonner ran out of New Balance shoes, he signed with Adidas, where he currently wears... yes, you got it, the Crazy 8.
Full circle.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!Unfortunately, Rose is going in for knee surgery again. Hopefully, this won't be a long down spell, as some others have returned from the same such surgery in a matter of weeks.
More importantly, I hope he stays healthy.
Also, if it's a matter of playing time, I hope Thibs learns to rest players.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyAnd the Spurs are in a losing skid.
If this keeps up the race for the title will be wide open.
I hope the Pistons can sneak in as an 8th of 7th seed, btw.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!Spurs break out of their losing skid, which is nice.
What's not-so-nice is Earl Lloyd and Anthony Mason passing away.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!Whoever says Jordan is Batman and Pippen is Robin got it a bit inaccurately.
Jordan is Superman, Pippen is Batman, and then there's Rodman.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!lol. Rodman is wacky enough to be a member of the Hall of Justice as-is.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!Agreed on both points.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySomething to start a little discussion about.

Read it and tell me what you think of it - I personally think it's a great idea and a solution for everybody concerned.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!May read it fully later. Skimmed for now. In short, my thoughts are this: screw the NCAA, but these athletes actually should be compelled to get a damn education so that they can do something else with their minds and talents, because professional sports isn't a real or sustainable career. While not everyone with a college degree is better off, and some people can do more with a high school diploma, I'm generally of the line of thinking that completing higher education can help someone.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThat's definitely advisable for a lot of kids. Look at what happened to Lenny Cooke.
However, some players are considered future top 5 draft picks as soon as the graduate high school. One year in college is really only risking them injury. Even if they do bust, they still made way more money than the average college grad could hope for.
Durant is probably going to be a lifer at OKC. Same with Harden with the Rockets and Curry with the GSW. If anything though, with Westbrook more or less having his own breakout season this year, I can actually see him eventually leaving OKC when he becomes a Free Agent come 2017. If he keeps playing the way he has been, he's going to want that Super Max Contract like Durant.
Question: If you were to form a Dream Team starting lineup from players throughout the NBA's entire history (i.e. from mid-20th century to today), who would you pick?
PS: A brief explanation of how the player would contribute to put the "Dream" in "Dream Team" would be appreciated.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Hmm, I'll take as my starting lineup: Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Hakeem Olajuwon. 6-12: Allen Iverson, John Stockton, Tim Duncan, Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal.

Isn't Rasheed Wallace a Pistons assistant coach?
If so, BALL DON'T LIE!
