Name : Canus
Age: 2067 from the time Canus was created
Race: Fallen Angel
Power: Dream Manipulation; can control and give the visions people get even when they are awake... often used by Canus to communicate with mortals or as a way to drive people insane via images or worse to make one go berserk.
Back story: Canus was created to the role of a angelic judge over spirits of the recently deceased. For 1598 years this genderless angel continued such service... but the religious discriminations on Earth and the high end nature of the cosmic order upset Canus greatly. It was this that leads the judge to conclude that Heaven and Hell processed were not fit to govern the souls of humans... nor should they interfere in their affairs. In a U-turn of thy profession, Canus laid attempting coup against his fellow judges but was stopped. Since Canus had served well and was considered a figure of virtue, the punishment was not Hell but to set Canus to walk the Earth without the ability to return to thy angelic form. Cast into the foil of a clay statue being constructed, Canus claimed some dark monk robes and became to execute thy own punishment.
As Canus walked the Earth, the former angelic judge began to not think of actions as to be punished but strengthened thy determination to upset the cosmic order. So in the year 1872 Canus founded a small flock of the poor and in promise for their salvation these humans help forged a cult to Canus’s ideals. The Phantom Ring would not grew much the over years; as of 2012 Canus’s order has reached the highest numbers in all its years; 192 members. With such a small and thy angelic powers weakening over the years, Canus looks for ways to increase thy path to thy aim... while being aware that a period of interference would be coming. A time for commence thy will?
Purpose in life; to upset the Cosmic Order and set humanity to be free from interference from either Heaven or Hell.
Main weakness: The body Canus has now is... not exactly the most ideal for one trying to set up a cult. The clay although castrated to give strength and endurance would prove not ideal against elemental divine powers such as fire and freezing. The dream powers can backfire if the figure fights back strong enough, allowing said figure to commence a deadly blow to Canus if be so. Canus may be ageless but the clay can wear, forcing the figure to repair the clay which is easier said than done due to the nature of the clay concentration. Canus also cannot communicate probably with humans, relying on either the visions or other angelic beings that appear to speak for the former judge of souls, commutating with those thy met that day by placing a vision in the head of a sleeping figure. That said, nowadays in the cult lays a Creepy Child
that can understand the metallic tunes of Canus’s speech but the child in return of adopting the role of “The Voice” has manage to manipulate the cult to his favour. Once more the child is in fact a fallen angel who can counter the power of dream manipulation, leading to Canus to lose the power the judge originally tried to claim.
