So, has anyone else seen The Descendants? I saw it a few weeks ago, and am surprised that it seems to be getting quite a bit of praise from critics. I did not find it to be very good.
It felt like so many characters and plots got added, but then they got discarded and not fully developed. Scottie for example seemed like she would/should have gotten more focus or even Alex's friend/boyfriend, who got very little development. Instead, the plot just sort of rambles along, with many side characters having bad performances and a rather schmaltzy ending.
