Lol. I didn't think you were being mean. I am thinking I am getting forgetful. So much media I can't remember it all. Which is why I am hitting up the Star Wars audio books I have on hand. For some reason I miss less from the stories through the Audio Books.

Huh. Interesting.
Bought "Lords of the Sith". There's really nothing different about the portrayal of Vader and Palps here. I mean, it's not like Vader has to deal with his Anakin personality this late in his life: he's already a Sith and has been one for 8 years at this point.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."So what's the point of the novel? I'm all for redoing canon, but if you're going to do it, at least add something that wasn't covered by the canon you're replacing.
Some guy mentioned pages back when I left the thread that the new approach to Vader was him being super angry and evil... but that's always been Vader. He only stops being that way in Episode 6's final minutes. Whenever the EU brought up things from his Anakin days, they were always presented as obstacles for him to crush, and he always did so without hesitation.
I dunno, maybe they kicked out all the old stuff so they'd have room to put Vader into new stories with him being generally the same character.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Just so y'all know, The Rise of the Empire will have three new short stories linking "A New Dawn" and "Tarkin."

PSN ID: FateSeraph Congratulations! She/TheyThere was a period, as has been said in this thread before, where the portrayal was more Sad-sack Vader, a man filled with self-loathing who was just a villain because that was all he had left, rather than a man filled with misguided rage, thinking the people he had wronged had actually wronged him, and that the only reason anything bad had ever happened to him was because he had been too weak.
Never encountered one of those stories. I mean, the more mainstream EU stuff has Vader being super ruthless. Even those awful Force Unleashed games.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Corny I know, but May the Fourth be with you. Whatever side of the Force you are on.
Here's one example of "sad-sack Vader."◊
Ultimately, Lords of the Sith is simply another example of the new canon streamlining the universe. While the mainstream portrayal of Vader was certainly the ruthless force of nature, there were definitely sources and stories that inserted a lot of self-loathing and self-pity into his character, and were no less canon for it.
It's not corny at all. Happy May 4th!

Very last panel also seems to have the Iron Giant in the junkyard.
Mace Windu giving the Ezekiel speech would be something to see.
x4, that image gave me cancer. Thanks to you I'm dying now.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Amazing...
...did anyone else think that the last frame of it, with the tie fighters forming "eyes", made it look like a face going: O___________O

More LEGO Star Wars goodness from today.

...why would you do that T_T
Horrific abuse of Lego sets aside, that was a pretty cool shot. I kinda wished they'd done a comparison with the Executor crashing in ROTJ or something, but still pretty neat.
It's probably true since we started hearing rumors about it around the same time as we heard rumors about a Rogue Squadron based movie(which most thought would be between VI and VII but turned out to be Rogue One).
Oh god please, no.
'Cause if Star Wars really needs to cater to somebody, it's Madalorian fanboys.
I wasn't bein' mean about it. Just saying it's so good it's a boomerang for us.
