Don't forget about the cases that weren't reported. Or the cases that were reported, but nobody believed the person in question.

As do the "it could be worse" rape apologists.

Misery poker is a terrible card to play in an argument. Rape apologists have no point. If you're making excuses for people being horrible, you are a horrible person.

Well those rape apologists do have a point. Being raped isn't the worst thing that can happen. I mean what about starvation, getting killed, having your children killed. Rape is bad and all but I do think that the reason why rape is used for a calling card for a Complete Monster because of our anti-sex based backgrounds.

Rape is still an awful crime however it's simply not the worst crime. Which is child murder.

However, I think we need to stop looking at people as stereotypes. A crime is a crime, rape is rape, regardless of genders and their stereotypes. It should not matter if you're male or female, if you're a rapist, you should be behind bars. Society should work to stop rape and crimes in general, not focus on who causes it (supposedly) more.

I think of torture as the worst crime. Worse than murder, anyway.

So the worst crime would be child torture.

To be honest, I'm horrified at the many creative ways mankind has invented in order to make people suffer physical and mental agony.
