I tried inserting [[hardline]] tags, but that apparently doesn't take for right-aligned images.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanMaybe folderize them?
Could we left-align the images? I thought right-aligning was for pages with quotes.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyEh, it's in the Sandbox cuz it's not really a policy, it's just something I wrote up cuz I wanted to be able to link to it instead of re-explaining the idea over and over from scratch each time it comes up. Which is also why it only has those three categories. If we were gonna make it a real thing, it could stand to go through YKTTW or something for some polish.
I'll folderize it. It looks better that way.

Rhymes with "Protracted."I think it's more that left-aligned images are unacceptable on pages with quotes(I believe Eddie's stated a preference for all pages to be on the right side - he certainly seems to act on one).
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanThat, plus the criteria in each are bulleted lists and left-aligned images tend to mess with the aligning on those.
How about placing this on the actual JAFAAC page?
I'd never noticed it. That's quite a good page.
I support incorporating it into the main Just A Face And A Caption page.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Its been helpful for me.
I like that it also points out that not every text-heavy image or picture of a face is necessarily Just A Face And A Caption. Almost as many people misinterpret that as People Sit On Chairs.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. If there aren't any objections come tomorrow, I'll incorporate the material into JAFAAC.
Sounds good to me.
Reaction Image RepositoryOkay, the pic that was put on the Webcomics subpage for Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking was added to the page as a "Wall of Text". I'm voting to make that its own separate page and go ahead and move the original folders to the JAFAAC page...agree/disagree?
Sounds like a plan to me.
Reaction Image RepositoryNow, the question becomes, should we create a "sliding scale of Wall-of-Textiness" for that page? IMO, the suggested pic doesn't qualify, although I've seen some that do (one from Negima immediately comes to mind, but damned if I remember where from...)
EDIT: I forgot that Wall of Text already had its own page with a (pun intended) picture-perfect example...question still applies, though.

I don't think doing that would be a good idea. There are too many different and opposed opinions about the meaning of wordiness and reliance on text. If anything should be codified, at most it's that being text-heavy is a contentious issue; not that one perspective or the other is the right one.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Good point. Alright, at some point today I'll work on merging the folders over.
Alright, so I completely failed to get around to this when I said I would...but in my defense, JAFAAC is locked so I couldn't do it anyway. I'll put a request in on the locked pages thread.
Also, I'm editing the "pull/don't pull" bullets since Eddie doesn't want us pulling JAFAAC pics right away.
EDIT: Request made.

The material's been added to JAFAAC, so we're done here. Locking up.
Okay, there are two courses of action I think we should take with this page:
- Move it out of the sandbox onto a more "official" page. As far as I can tell, it matches up with official IP policy, so there's no reason to leave it in the sandbox. If there are problems with it, we can iron them out before moving it.
- Fast Eddie moved all the images to the right, which is perfectly fine except that the images no longer line up with the relevant sections of description for some reason. I'm reluctant to move them back to the left without getting a consensus first, given that it's a Fast Eddie edit. The alternative is for somebody who actually remembers the proper code to fix it. I had thought that I line break would sectionalize the page, but apparently not.
