PS. While they say Game Pro will just be merged into PC World (www.pcworld.com/gamepro), don't be fooled. It'll eventually vanish.
Jonah FalconWell that's a shame.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Spoke to a friend - everyone at Game Pro got the pink slip.
Jonah FalconPrint media dying? Shocking.
Well, it was a good 20+ years.

What he said. Hell, Seanbaby is the most talented of their lot and even he struck out for greener pastures years ago.
PROTIP: To state the obvious, shoot blah blah until it dies.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Hahaha. Sorry, just something that became Hilarious in Hindsight. About 5 days ago, Gamepro ran an article saying that the Vita was already dead. Well, now the Vita is saying Gamepro is already dead.
Awww.
I was and still am a Nintendo Power fan, but I read my cousin's stash of Game Pro magazines. i remember one with a Toe Jam And Earl 2 walkthrough, Sonic Spinball, Asterix, and I think Whomp 'Em.
I think one issue also had a contest to submit your own video game ideas and someone came up with a Mega Woman idea, saying the 'enemies would be different and a lot harder'.

The Protomen enhanced my life.I loved the Lame Pro/ April Fools issues.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Print? You might notice the SITE is going down.
Jonah FalconI had never heard of Game Pro before now. But... uh... I'll miss them?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Hahaha Lamepro was always the best!
Yeah. What a shame.
I... I don't know what to say. I literally grew up with this and EGM since I was 7. The magazine always brought me joy, even as it cut away whole sections in format changes (anybody else still remember the codes section?). When EGM closed up shop in '09, I never would've imagined that Gamepro would do the same 2 years later.
Excuse me for a moment, my heart feels heavy.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I'm surprised that Game Pro went down first and not Nintendo Power. I don't even see any of Nintendo's magazines on the stands anymore, but I've still found issues of Game Pro being sold at stores! I guess it's because Nintendo Power has the backing of their parent company to keep them alive, whereas Game Pro only had their publisher to rely on.
I'll admit, I didn't like the new way that they printed the magazine, most specifically how they REALLY cut down on the review pages and just put "What we're still playing, what we've lost interest in" and stuff like that.
Ah well. Guess I'll have to rely on Game Informer now.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I dunno. I still see NP issues semi-frequently. I can't recall seeing a GamePro issue in stores in years.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadYou do know that EGM opened shop again, right?
The magazine went quarterly, and relied more on the online site.

Jonah FalconI know, but I'm talking about the moment where a part of your life dies.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987For every part of your that dies, a new part will eventually grow (hopefully) to fill the void left behind. That's the cycle of life and how we gain experience. No matter how tough it may seem, there's always something waiting beyond. We have to accept it and move on. It's okay to mourn but, we need to move on to grow stronger.
Sorry, inspirational speech.
Always looking for a good MMORPG with a great community...Whoa, wait.
When has GamePro ever mattered?
