I'm writing a Glee fanfiction and my main character is Rachel's cousin from Seattle, who is forced by her mother to move to Ohio and live with Rachel's family after getting into one too many fights at school. I want to introduce her into the whole "show choir" setting by having her hear a song she likes coming from the gym, walk inside to discover a Cheerios practice, and disrupt it because she can't resist the urge to sing along. This will get her bitched out by Sue for disrupting the practice and cause Sue, under the assumption that she's one of Shelby's Troubletones, to drag her off to Shelby's office and chew Shelby out about allowing her members to practice their vocals in the middle of Cheerios practice.

I'm just having one problem with my scenario. I have three songs that I am considering using here and I can't choose between them. That's where this post comes in. I'm wishing to put the subject to troper vote. Should the song be:

A. The Fame by Lady Gaga

B. Starry Eyed Surprise by Paul Oakenfold

C. Naturally by Selena Gomez

D. None of the above. (Insert your own song choice here.)

Please reply. The more tropers, the merrier.

Firstly, I love the plot of this fic; totally sounds like it could be an actual episode.

Secondly, I think "Naturally" would be a good choice because it's got a good tempo.

Thirdly, do you have a Tumblr? There's a big Glee community on Tumblr and they'd love to read your works and share input and whatnot.

I agree with the post above that Naturally is good.

I like Example's Stay Awake, but it wouldn't fit the scene.

Firstly, I'm glad you like the plot. I was trying to think of something that would be believable for a Glee episode, so I'm glad this is working.

Secondly, No, I don't have a Tumblr, but I may just have to sign up for one. Thank you for the information.

Thirdly, if any tropers are interested in reading it, it's called "Paradise" and the fanfiction.net author name is JMFearless.

And yes, I know I didn't answer those in order.

@Yuri Strike: It may not fit the scene, but I'm going to check it out anyway. I'm always looking for awesome music.

I read your story, and I'm interested so far. I'll definitely be back for Chapter 2.

Would you like to try Swoon by the Chemical Brothers? Or perhaps Pet Shop Boys?

I'm also quite fond of La Roux and Priscilla Ahn.

Chapter Two is up now, if you're interested. I don't think it was as good at the first, but maybe you'll feel different.
