"That sounds nice," Thresh said, grinning. "I'll return the favor when you least expect it."

-Isea nods a somewhat souless gesture-

"Lets hope at least, take your pick"

"So it was a vigilante job. I imagine the Fleet is very grateful to you guys."

"Bastards had better be... wouldn't be the first time they've forgotten to give people a pat on the back for their sacrifice if they aren't though."

"Yeah... a bunch of Council species and some non-Council species gang together to blow up a facility experimenting on quarians and return ones being experimented on back to the Migrant Fleet? Yeah. I imagine they'd be happy."

"I'll take that Kar'Tesh over there, thanks." Thresh said. "I't essentially Ryncol, but fermented with honey from Earth." He then turned to the conversation beside him. "If the council handled everything like that, I'd bet a credit or two that the universe would be a better place, overall."

"Yeah, but bureaucracy gets in the way far too often."

-Isea orders the drink for Thresh-

"The leaders there have the Specters, there just as corrupt as The Queen of Omega herself"

Oh crap, now we're talking about politics! Quick, change the subject!

"Yeah, it's fun to watch holovids about Spectres, but it's less fun to see one aiming a shotgun at your team over some legal grey-area improvisation."

"Then again, the Spectres are the uber-blackops of the galaxy... they can do what they want. The most extreme example being Saren."

"So not a geth warship..." Carn groaned. There was a slapping sound as he brought his hand up to meet his visor.

"And besides that, how can you dislike the spectres for taking matters into their own hands, when what we just did was essentially the same thing? Now, Salarian STG, that's a different story..."

"Which is a good point. Most Spectres are actually fairly reasonable people who just screw the rules. The Salarian STG, on the other hand... yeah. No offense meant, but those spooks fucking scare me."

Thresh could help but tremble at the mention of the STG, though noticing that his glass was half cracked kept him cool enough for conversation. "Can't say I'm the largest fan of them myself." he said with a faked chuckle.

He was dealing in understatements. "Maybe if they were half as noble as most specters, I'd have a kinder line of work." Perhaps it was just better to change the subject. No, it was much better. He quickly chucked down his Tar'Kesh, but let it roll down his throat slowly, burning his real words away like a forest fire.

"Spectres are a trip, through, I'll agree."

"STG is what has kept the leaders on there high thrones for so long now. Without us, we would all be kissing Saren's feet at the moment, or be turned into those abominations we all saw on the vids, the cyborgs, STG were influential in Saren's downfall.. and the Genophage... no offense Thresh. That happened way before my time."

-Isea drank his last-

"That is are job, do what has to be done, even go father then the Specters."

That warranted an actual laugh from Thresh. "I'm curious, Isea. Just a small inquiry. Do you have any children? Ever dream of it?"

"I'm feeling a little out of place now," Rose said, "I'm more of a by-the-books kind of gal myself."

Dru finished his drink and ordered a replacement. "Sure, the Spectres and the STG are some high-grade galactic badasses, but I don't remember seeing any of them on Noveria today. Who needs 'em when the Hammurabi is on the job!" he said, raising his glass.

"STG is done for me now, this is my crew now"

-Isea nods and raises his glass-

"About the kids? Ive thought about it... it won't be a Salerain kid. I can't secure a contract. I mean yea, I would like to have a kid maybe, some of my brothers and sisters already have some of there own."

"Drew, quick! Hand out some business cards while you're at it!" Joe said to Dru.*

"Business cards? Do we even have business cards?"

He started on his second drink.

"Urdnot Trenk. That was going to be his name. My boy." Thresh peered deeply into the bottom of his glass, the haze of strong drink being one of the only things keeping him in check.

"For a moment, I'd been foolish enough to think that he'd made it. I saw the little gator hatch. Turns out that was all the strength he had." After a pause, he contintued. "Knowing how the STG said the genophage worked, I was under the impression that he was home free. Yet there was just enough of what you could call a nervous system to tell that they told a teeny little fib." For another small time, he couldn't speak.

"Just saying, I can't attest to their competence."

-For once, Isea actually looked like it had hit home to him finally. He put down his glass, and looked at the floor, he couldn't look at the Krogan-

"I am... sorry. Im sure he would have been a great son."

-Isea looked away for a bit-

"If i tell you this, you must not say a word of this.. They say there are scientist getting close to curing it... but the way it is.. I don't see it ever being used, our people will never shake hands on your world, Thresh."

"Thanks, Isea." It was probably just another fake light at the end of the tunnel, but it was a kind gesture, more than he deserved. "Though maybe the STG can shoot the cure from another solar system, maybe pop by in a few millennia. Things ought be be cool by then." He chuckled.

"Yea, I hope so to."

-Isea smiles a bit-

I wonder if we will have the RP be around in the Reaper invasion time. Maybe a long time from now

Carn had remained silent this entire time.

"You can't see it, can you Isea?"
