Why are our conversations always knee-deep in Republican politics and Internet gifs?-whaps John with rolled up newspaper for being rude-
Got any articles on narrative voice?
The last battle's curtains will open on stage!I spot them all the time. Unfortunately, most of them aren't helpful and say the same things without being useful. They're mostly inspirational posts about finding your voice and several examples of voice, and those usually don't land on the round-up.
If someone writes an article on different types of voices, I'll probably post it here.
Hm. How about style?
The last battle's curtains will open on stage!@TO: It was a pun. :P

- Suzanne Van Rooyen: A Discussion on Voice in YA with Janice Hardy: A nice list of ways a YA's POV can be bent.
^ Just a thought: is "voice in YA fiction" really conflatable with "YA voice?" While I can't think of a book specifically marketed as YA that didn't have a YA protagonist, it's long since been proven (at least in the context of anime) that teens can identify with adult protagonists.

There is a problem, I think, with the title of the first one; it's not about being a writer so much as being able to write things legibly. Which is fine and all, but let's be honest here: While I would never tell someone else that they should not write, or that they should give up writing, a true writer, a great writer, is not made. They are this by their nature, and while they may come into their own after a long period of mediocre work, a truly mediocre writer will not "learn" talent. They will learn technical skill, yes, but not talent. You either have it (in whatever quantity) or you do not.

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. Is it bad form to post a link to something that a friend wrote? Especially if it's not really an article, just an introspective blog post. But it's related to writing, I swear, and I love it.
Why are our conversations always knee-deep in Republican politics and Internet gifs?
Two blog posts in a row.
