Defeating the Undefeatable... Video Game Bosses

Ok, after 20 or so tries i just beat Tashigi in One Piece GBA's hard mode. Let me tell you why she was so difficult.

First, whenever she swings her sword, either to front or above, she does it instantaneously. If Luffy goes near her and doesn't score a hit, then he gets hit instead.

Second, she can raise her sword for a random amount of time, after which she flash steps through the screen. The resulting slash does a lot of damage if it hits, but if she misses she becomes vulnerable (how much is also random). It's the best way to hurt her.

Third, she is able to pull a Geese Howard and counter any of Luffy's attacks. When she has one HP bar left, she does this frequently.

Now know that she can randomly ignore Luffy's attacks and use the two attacks above while he's busy throwing meaningless punches. Because of this, trying to hit her with the Rubber Pistol is just as risky as it is useful.

Luffy in general isn't helpful, either. His moveset leaves him open to enemy attacks all the freaking time. Also, support characters aren't available for this battle.

I beat her by saving three Rubber Axes for when she's with only one HP bar and then avoiding her like the plague while hoping she wouldn't counter whenever i decided to attack. And even then Luffy had only a bit of HP left when the battle ended.

Well I felt really good about beating Arthrosaurus in Lost Odyssey. Mostly because the first time i faced him i'd forgotten to save after the previous boss at the Ancient Ruins directly before, and then I died, causing me to have to fight both of them again. Imagine my excitement when I discovered that I HAD TO FIGHT ANOTHER 7 ARTHROSAURS.

Well, not a boss per se, but... Dancing Statue on Hard. Damn you, Alexandra Sisters, you and your buttonreading. Not to mention the fact I need to take them and Colossus in span of 150 seconds. All three of them.
