Brace yourselves...
Without having touched the game to see, it looks mostly good, but...
Why did they Nerf Sackboy AGAIN?!?!
the color todaySackboy just can't keep away from the Nerf Bat, but mah boi Sir Dan got ALL THE BUFFS, so it balances out for me.
Plus, LVL 1 confirms and Ratchet throw loops got tackled a bit! :D

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Oh yeah, really loved what I saw on Sir Dan's list. Dude deserves it.
the color todayI had a pretty good run as Parappa tonight, and Jak's Down+Square being so fast feels very satisfying. Overall, he's not as clunky.
I was actually going to play Danganronpa all night, but this caught my attention straight away. Unfortunately, I'm busy tomorrow; need all the sleep I can get.
Very happy to see this. I'll try installing the patch overnight or tomorrow. Delighted to see Sir Dan's buffs and that Toro's Level 2 Super Game-Breaking Bug is gone.
GREATNESS AWAITS
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierAmazing advertisement here. It's like the ultimate validation for sticking with this game.
Wait, it's only the Graveyard/Zeus/Isaac pack that gets a sale? Not that I would've waited all this time for it anyway, but that's kind of a bummer for anyone that already has it, even more so for people that have that pack, but not Fearless/Kat/Emmett.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! To be fair, Kat and Emmett were free for a little while after they came out. Stage wasn't, but that's a different story.
the color todayThis is surprisingly high-level stuff. I think SSM realized after taking over that the casual crowd only want Crash/Cloud/Lara, and generally have the attention of goldfish. So, their best bet ended up being chasing the mid-high skill crowd.
Not just that, but they recruited some of the more skilled people in the All-Stars community to help out. I think they've finally earned to right to say they've Shown Their Work.

Oh man, never even thought of comboing Zeus' Air up Square into Air neuTriangle, awesome.
That was a good vid, hopefully studying it will help me level up my game.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!SSM seems to be more supportive of the game than ever. That's a good thing in my book.
Well this was supposed to be it; the last patch.
Still, I hope this bolsters interest in a sequel on PS 4.
the color todayIt's funny that people imagined that if a sequel were to come along that Seth Killian would be helming it. Now there's no telling who would be leading this hypothetical project.
I suppose SSM are the best candidates for all the focus on fighting game design they must have needed to deliver this patch. But, I'm pretty sure they're going to be booked for a few years on Cory Balrog's project. After that, they'll be expected to work on another GoW for the the PS 4 (maybe some Spiritual Successor based on Norse or Egyptian culture).
Of course, Sony could always hand it off to a third-party like Project Sora did with Namco-Bandai on the latest Smash. Not sure who would be best suited to a platform fighter among the third-parties.
Seems it doesn't take any FGC very long to find cracks in a patch. So basically, don't let Raiden get you to a wall.
I seriously need to download that patch soon before things like that kills my hype.
I just thought of this and hate miself for this, but we should've taked advantage of the #Release Dart campage andasked for a Dart or a Lo D costume pack for Little Big Planet. It would have been a good way to show support to the campaing and the franchise by buying the costume or pack.
On another note, there's a flash sale with 30 games at 0,99$. If anyone want to check some of sony IP like Tokyo Jungle or When Vykings Attack!, nows the time.

I take solace in the fact that if we ever get a sequel, Dart will almost certainly be in it thanks to Release Dart. I wonder if the controversy over that will extend to Abe, Dart's rival as appointed by Word of Dante?
Unfortunately, we haven't got the $1 sale on the EU PS Store, but we do have another sale instead. The most notable offers are Battlefield 4, Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2 and Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII for £20 each, with dozens of other games on sale as well. I would get Lightning, but I won a free copy from a competition at my local GAME. Speaking of that sale, I really need to get around to buying Guacamelee before the sale finishes.

Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierAnd taking that further, it helps patient fans like me see stronger chances for a LoD sequel. Pretty sure there was a topic for it around here, but when I posted #ReleaseDart there, it got no replies. That's sad, because that was pretty much the last time LoD has been in the news since it came to the western PSN (nearly two years ago). After a decade without activity, you'd think older fans would've jumped on that (not saying that some of them didn't).

Seem that no amount of nerfing can make Kat fair.
Here I thought they gave more landing-lag to all her moves so that we wouldn't have to deal with stuff like this.
And now she's got an air-stall
I can't blame SSM for this: she's probably the glitchiest character in the game, and most attempts to change that haven't had great results.

And in my first non-patch-related post for the last while (been a while since my last triple-post), Memoski's got a new All-Stars comic, told in the style of MS Paint Adventures.

What does Nariko do to deal with Kat's obnoxious roomie behavior? Can Spike find a new All-Star with a limited budget? Memoski will pick the best suggestions and move the story in that direction.

That sounds like fun. To continue the stories, I suggested that Spike hire Emmett to break Crash out of Activision, and Nariko invites Raiden over to intimidate Kat, but she beats him up, so Nariko decides to make money off challenging people to fight Kat.

Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierYeah, good luck with that, challengers. That girl kicks HARD. And her control over gravity doesn't help either.
It's funny. In the Smash Bros community, you have people acting as though saying "casual", "casual fanbase", isn't generally a derogatory remark, and they'll fight for N-Word Privileges. Then I come here, and well, yeah. Proof in the pudding.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
From that, I'm pretty sure we don't want to go the Smash route on double-throwing. I like the 2-D fighting method of cancelling a throw with another throw (though I'm not sure what the other platform fighters do).
Anyway, the patch-notes were edited by Tank with 7 additional changes. Seems there will be variable AP-distribution depending on the hit-reaction that a throw causes (with the exception of Jak and Sweet Tooth's Up+Throw).
I really like these changes. They sound like real thought went into them.
The reality of this patch being a thing is getting pretty exciting.
