Who Is Your Favorite American First Lady?:

I know that the first ladies are usually overlooked in favor of their husbands but which first ladies do you think really seem to grab you.

In my opinion it would have to be Michelle Obama, as much as I am not a fond of her husband, I still find her charasmatic and you have to admit she is one Hot Mom.

Eleanor Roosevelt, hands down. By a landslide. No contest, really: She was left-wing, she was an activist, she championed a bazillion worthy causes, she endorsed Civil Rights... Except for Hillary Clinton (who is a politician in her own right) there's never been a First Lady as relevant as Eleanor Roosevelt in the entire history of the US.

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.
I'm really not an expert on the First Ladies, but I would say:

  • Eleanor Roosevelt
  • Abigail Adams
  • Jackie Kennedy

Gee, probably on account of their husbands being important political figures by definition.

Eleanor Roosevelt.

Contentless snowclones aren't allowed, which is to say, threads where the only point is to make a play on an existing thread title. That's not what this is, so it's fine.

Eleanor Roosevelt, without a doubt.

I also like Michelle Obama, Abigail Adams and Betty Ford.

^^ That's not true at all, but assuming you mean politically, what about Hillary Clinton?

Hey! Abigail Adams was John Adams's advisor and as such had a large impact on his decisions and thus, history.

You have just read the epic words of Deaths Apprentice. Don't be alarmed if the epicness causes your brain to explode and your body to faint

Of course Eleanor. Nearly all of the First Ladies have been grinning mannequins with expensive tastes and no opinions.

In fact, whenever "the wife" does try to be productive (Clinton, Roosevelt, Princess Di), they're slammed for being vain and homely. Because any desirable woman shouldn't need to work.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
