I think the current image is fine
I am fine with it.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!It's illustrating Sigil Spam, not Egopolis. Secondly, it doesn't even do Sigil Spam very well.
I vote to pull.
Leaning towards pull. Not this trope! It even says so in the very first two sentences.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Voting to pull.
Please.Hm, based on the whole "it's about the name, not the symbol" I'm going to support pulling based on misleading image.
Fight smart, not fair.Speaking of which...
I find the current page quote rather boring; it's just pointing out that this one guy named a city after himself. On the other hand, the quotes page has a hilarious song by Yzma. Since we don't have a Quote Pickin' forum, let me ask here - who agrees it's a good idea to swap the Tintin quote with four or five lines from the Yzma song?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! What kind of name is Tapioca.
Anyway, any mental image for this?
What lines to use? We need to be somewhat efficient.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Hmmm, I can think of some image ideas, that may or may not be from specific works. A map, that shows old cities, and the old names scribbled out with a clear name used to replace all the city names.
Fight smart, not fair.I was thinking along the same lines; something like an image of a sign saying "Welcome to [insert city name]", followed by one of the same sign crossed out and replaced by one saying "Welcome to [dictator's new city name]". Don't know of any available ones, though.

Fast Eddie's - Television Tropes and Idioms?
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I’ve been looking at some images of Street Fighter's Bisonopolis, but none are that good. It seemed usable because both the city (even if a model) and the dictator himself are in view, but one◊ has him obscuring the name too much, the other◊ doesn’t show either him or the city well enough.
Fast Eddie reverted the pull because we didn’t reach a consensus. I don’t know what the criteria for consensus are, but I’m also in favour of pulling if an adequate one can’t be found; that’s more than a two-thirds majority (six for, two against).
As I understand it, isn't no page image considered better than a misleading one? The problem is that it doesn’t actually show the trope.

@ Willbyr, post 8:
The Tintin album that pic comes from is The Calculus Affair (L'Affaire Tournesol in its original French version).
Yes, I do have it, but only the French version of it.
IMPORTANT EDIT: Just noticed it by reading the thread in full, but do you all think that this city is Tapiocapolis? Then you must know that this isn't Tapiocapolis: this is actually Szohod, the capital city of Borduria, and the dictator whose sigils and statues are depicted in is called Kûrvi-Tasch (Plexi-Glazd in the French version).
There must have been confusion, because in the album where Tapioca takes over Tapiocapolis and names it as such (Tintin and the Picaros), he was supported by Borduria, and he adopted the Kûrvi-Tasch ideology for his own regime. As such, I'd think this pic is Not An Example.
The Other Wiki has an article about Borduria, if you want more details.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeBump? What about this?
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. For a variety of reasons I think the concensus here is already to pull, but I'm unsure if it still has to go through a motion process or if Fast Eddie opposes it.

We'd need to do a new motion with a clear majority to re-pull it.
Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
I think Egopolis needs a new image. The current one is a combination of Just A Face And A Caption (since it requires having read the Tintin comics to even know that it is Tapiocapolis) and not illustrating the trope to begin with. Egopolis is when a despot (re)names an entire city after himself, not for plastering their image all over the place.
