Unsurprising, and proof that we need to get out of Afghanistan post-haste.

Realistically speaking, the US is a more distant concern, with their nearest facilities being rather farther away than the southern border of Afghanistan. Also, the US will eventually leave Afghanistan, while Pakistan probably isn't going to be packing up and moving away any time soon. grin

Little bastard is being awfully uppity considering how many people in his circle have been assassinated lately.

Already posted this in the Pakistan thread.

Before y'all go nuts, bear two things in mind: the interview is from a Pakistani news channel and it is undated. It might be out of context. Second, the man always lies with regards to Pakistan...his actions suggest he would never support them.

...and I guess thirdly, he IS bi-polar and thus makes wildly different claims....

No. More proof we just need to kill Karzai. Don't abandon the mission there because of one asshole.

No need to kill him. Just give the Parliament (who hates Karzai and yet deals fairly with us) more power. They'll take care of him themselves.

Once again though, this interview is undated and is likely being used by Pakistani media as propaganda so America would get rid of Karzai and thus take care of him for Islamabad. Don't buy the bait.

Considering that we can't actually win Afghanistan with both the Afghan and Pakistani governments opposing us, and we have neither the money nor popular support to fight Pakistan, I'd say completing the mission is a pipe dream here.

Lol why should Afghanistan support the US???

I think you guys dont understand how much of a bad idea is for Kharzi to get Pakistan mad.

Tom@ Thanks good the high command isnt full of assholes... otherwise they would do as you say and then everyone would definitly hate our guts in Afghanistan with no exception.

No we need to leave because no matter how many warm bodies we put there and how many dead bodies we stack up nothing will change. Knock of Karzai sure. Kill the fucker and let the Afghans sort themselves out.

The Afghan government doesn't necessarily agree with Karzai.

Their parliament has been far more accomodating of America than Karzai...

I don't know if I approve or disapprove of how much a member of the U.S. military sounds like a mafia don in this context.

Yeah, in this context, the military people who posted here seem Ax-Crazy.

But really, Karzai, this is not a smart move for you.

Nick: far from Ax crazy. This bastard is large part of the overall problem and for some damn reason the U.S. government as a whole is helping prop him up.

Are we even in a position where we would want to go to war with Pakistan? If not, then this is just some guy being a blowhard.
