It's Not My Fault I'm Not Popular!:

Just heard of this series. I think she's really cute, and am pretty shocked to find that she's basically Konata without the happiness.

Is she The Woobie? I think that would belong in YMMV.

How on earth did y'all miss her attempt at Toilet Humor?

I'm glasses.
The translation for chapter six is up.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.

Somehow I feel the fact that she can function in society despite her neurosis should be a trope, if not an existing one. A character seems to be incredibly flaky and unstable but is not shown to have serious problems with the system. I mean, she even gets to school on time.

Maybe her situation seems so familiar because it's just a more realistic portrayal of insecurity in Real Life than we usually get from Manga, but I dunno.

Gunpla is amazing!
No Social Skills fits fine. She can function, she's just bad at socializing.

Whose, scanning this again? I want to download all the chapters and just read everything in one go.

/a/nons, for what I understood. Look for the thread in /a/ and you might find the links.

I love this, it's hilarious, chapter 5 was my favorite and I nearly died after Tomoko's toilet humor.

I also added Closet Otaku and Headphones Equal Isolation to page.

Chotto Matte! Don't you guys think it's a bit redundant to have both Otaku and Closet Otaku tropes in one page, or at least separated?

...It seems like a lot of series recently have been following in Ore Imo's footsteps and having phrases as their titles. This however is one of the few which didn't really catch my interest. :/

You mean like the Kurokona pictures?

something
Is Kurokona a full doujinshi? If so, where can I read/download it?

About the manga - So is this a real life look at how otaku would be like in real life? Too bad its a girl, because I find it hard otaku girls would have absolutely no friends. Don't we all know that geeks and nerds love girls that have the hobby as they do, even just as casual friends? Plus girls are usually more well socially adjusted.

All the current info and scanlations for this series can be found in this link: http://pastebin.com/JYgtBy40

59 chapters and it only recently got noticed?

I'm surprised, after all this is the kinda of manga that otaku would take notice the most. I thought there would be a few Japanese speaking 4-chaners that would have pick up it earlier.

[up]No, it's only six chapters so far: http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=68820

It can be read for free online here if you can understand japanese: http://www.square-enix.com/jp/magazine/ganganonline/comic/watashiga/

Gomen, the page had 59 lines, so I thought it had 59 chapters. So I was right, it immediately caught the attention of otakus. This kinda stuff is obvious otaku bait, though I think they overdid it with her social awkwardness.

Not really, ALOT of people from 4chan say they have had exact same experiences.

Of course a majority of it is Played for Laughs but there is still truth behind it.

Its not Welcome to the NHK levels

She goes to school and handles official matters well enough, so as far as other people are concerned being an otaku and making 07th Expansion faces are private things that she should be left to. Kind of how most of us feel about personal affairs, right?

Lol its fun to see the beggining of a cult following.

Even if its not my type of manga... maybe it hits too close to home???

Just started this. It's as hilarious as it is heartbreaking.

First WMG.

She is Autisitc.

[up]She reads more like a normal shut-in to me(granted, one with a goal of trying to change, but still).

She seems more like an extreeeeme introvert.

The way she overthinks the simplest of interactions hits so close to home...
