Works Pages Are A Free Launch/This Is A Wiki. Anyone can make a works page—you don't need to submit it to any panel or whatever who will then make the page for you. Just pull up the blank page and edit in some stuff.

Rhymes with "Protracted."So then all I need to do is create a page for it on the forums? OK.
"Revenge is like sugar...its sweet but bad for you"No, on the wiki. FanFic.Work Name Here. Edit and off you go. See Program Entry Template, How Indexing Works, and Namespace for more help.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"OK, what do you want to do? Do you want to create a page on the wiki or create a thread on the forums? Two different things.
So if you want to create a page for Bob And Alice Meet Batman (for example), you would go to FanFic.Bob And Alice Meet Batman on the wiki and edit that page.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Not in the forums, on the wiki itself.
However, while doing up a works page for your own work is fine, don't go into Hyper Gushing Mode(tm) about it, and don't freak out about someone making an entry that's not gushing about it. TV Tropes doesn't do the Caustic Critic thing, but the other extreme isn't what the wiki is for, either.
As long as the entries are a) factual (such and such an event/scene/character does exist in the work, and the specified trope actually applies to it), and b) worded in a fairly neutral tone (though some occasional, mild snarking isn't unheard of), they're legitimate.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpOK, so I followed Fighteer's instructions, and so my page now exists. It has a link to the fan-fic plus some background information. But I'm having trouble indexing it. I read the instructions and they're a little hard to understand. Do you index something by going to the page its related to and choosing an index option or is there more to it then that?
"Revenge is like sugar...its sweet but bad for you"Go to the index page and edit it in. See How Indexing Works.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Hey, just so you know, you need to put the page under Spider-Man: Downfall, not the link Fighteer gave. Also, first-person is a no-no. Welcome To TV Tropes has a lot of information on how to do things around to wiki.
Ah right. Thanks for the information.
Sorry, I'm just kind of a newbie at all of this
"Revenge is like sugar...its sweet but bad for you"Face Palm. Are you the kind of person who looks for the "any key"? Sorry, it amuses and frustrates me.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"@Fighteer: No, I'm not. I'm just struggling with this is all. I mean, so I created a new page for the thing, and also edited it so that it is no longer in first person. As for how I "Link" the page to something, well, all I seem to get is ending up on the page that tells you HOW but I still don't seem to have the OPTION to do it, or at the very least, it isn't showing up. Where on the page is the "link" option?
And sorry if I come off as a pain here, but I have NEVER contributed to this site before, so I'm still struggling to understand how everything works.

"Revenge is like sugar...its sweet but bad for you"You might want to pop over to Welcome To TV Tropes. I've been working to make it as new user friendly as possible. Let me know if it helps.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Thank you very much. I'll do that.
"Revenge is like sugar...its sweet but bad for you"All right, my own "Spider-Man Downfall" Page is up, and it has links to the Marvel Universe and Spider-Man pages. Thanks for the info everyone.

Hey, I'm new here, so I'm having a little trouble getting used to things but I was just wondering: is there any way one can submit a fan-fiction and have that fan-fiction's tropes be listed? Or make a link to the fan-fiction and have its tropes be listed? Just because I would really like to know what tropes my stories have, but I don't know how fan-fictions are submitted, or how the website takes notice of them. Can someone please help me here?
