I think the implication is there (after all, what sane neighborhood color-coordinates like that) but I see your point.

That might just say the set designer had bad taste (meta), or there was a really stupid fad (in-universe).

I'm against the pull. I just can't shake the feeling of dread when I look at that picture. The colors make me think, "Okay, something's not right here if they're painting their houses this color..."
