You know, I'm gonna come down in favor of this one, mainly due to the pastel color scheme of the cars and houses and the overall look of the pic.

That just says half the trope. Where's the "something bad is there" part?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I think the implication is there (after all, what sane neighborhood color-coordinates like that) but I see your point.
That might just say the set designer had bad taste (meta), or there was a really stupid fad (in-universe).

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.eh, now that I think about it, it wouldn't work.
Yeah, i'm not sure if this is picturable.

Clock is set.
Motion to pull
Pic is very vague about demonstrating the trope, might work better for something else.

I'm against the pull. I just can't shake the feeling of dread when I look at that picture. The colors make me think, "Okay, something's not right here if they're painting their houses this color..."
"I know where I am, I just don't know where I am in where I am." - MeIs Edward Scissorhands even an example? It's been a long time since I watched it, but it was hardly a Town with a Dark Secret. Sure, they formed a Torches and Pitchforks mob against Edward, but he was kind of a freak...
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdClock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
I don't even know if this is picturable
