Mr. Cook has said that he would rather not have an image in use that has been touched up by someone else, but that he is willing add some magical looking effects himself to make it fit our requirements. Is that acceptable? I'd recommend we accept his very generous offer.

Sure. That's pretty cool!

Yes, if it's his work and he's willing to do it for us that's fantastic.
I'm e-mailing him telling him that we are accepting is offer to rework the picture for us. Could we please make sure we keep this open until he can get something back to us?

Sounds good. What a nice guy!
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Hitting the snooze on this until we hear something from the artist.
Anyone heard anything from the artist?
I haven't gotten any e-mails from him lately. I'd rather avoid pestering him by asking for an update, seeing how he's doing this for free.
I just got this from the artist. Looks good to me. I vote that we use it for the article.

It's got my vote.
You didn't.....
I am ok with it... the only ding I could put on it is it seems evil which puts them out of this trope most of the time but meh.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!In this case, "Gentleman" doesn't necessarily mean "good guy", it means upperclass.
Consider the following lines from the trope description: But even as a gentleman, such characters are usually considered to be quite strange and eccentric, even tricky and untrustworthy, no matter how polite their manner may appear to be. And as Blue Bloods, they might be quite proud and stuffy, looking down on the commoners and the muggles.
Given this qualification, I don't think being evil would exclude a character, as long as they are polite, proper and upper crust about it. Still, I don't think the picture necessarily looks "evil". Arcane, and perhaps a bit strange, but not evil.
That picture looks good.
Reaction Image RepositoryIt's got my vote too
The guy does look like he is using evil magic (what with the rat, skull and Sickly Green Glow), but that's no disqualifier.

I've it on the page, along with the appropriate notes saying it is being used with artist permission, was selected by TRS, etc.
And my KHAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

I've sent an e-mail to Mr. Bryce Cook.
