Good question...I'm not exactly sure what we should do.

Early this morning some troll went around trying to convince people to nuke all of the Hiimdaisy images fron the tropepages, for some reason or another, so it probably caught Eddie's attention for that reason. And while I can understand the reason of the pull, I dont' think it was a good idea to take such an action in response to trolling. That sets a dangerous precedent, if you catch my drift. With that said, we can simply see if a better pic can be found (chief Wiggum from The Simpsons comes to mind), or maybe just do as you suggest and vote the HID image back.

Believe me, my actions are not directed by a troll. The precedent being set is nobody gives a fuck what a troll says one way or the other. We are certainly not hanging on to something that sucks because a troll doesn't like it.
I pulled the image because it sucked. The linked discussion was short and didn't have any case made for the image at all. Seriously, five votes total? Not indicative of anything at all.
Don't put that crap back in. It's useless.

While I do belive you, Eddie, I still think that the timing for those pics to be taken down was not the happiest. This is just a suggestion, but maybe next time it would be better to just take a note about it and wait for the trollstorm to pass before springing into action.
About the pic itself... I've seen crappier images. At least it's not as bad as the one for Relationship Values, as this one doesn't directly show the trope but at least discusses it... But yeah, I do agree that we can do better. As I said earlier, The Simpsons could be a good place to start. If noting we could always keep the HID one up until something better is found.

The Simpsons is a good place to start, but I also like the Hiimdaisy pic.

The image technically works, but I think it would work just as well as a page quote; none of the non-speech bubble part of the image really demonstrates much, it's just a guy sitting at table; he doesn't look like a cop or anything.
Also, I'm just going to say that while Eddie's action was appropriate, leaving a note explaining what happened would have saved some confusion.

Exactly what I was going to say. He hasn't provided any good reason as to why the image shouldn't be picked if, for no other reason, he doesn't like it or the strip it's associated with.
IIRC, isn't that a no-no here (I could be wrong, I remember something about this I think)? Let me check...

- Trying to argue that a pic you liked wasn't chosen in a previous thread, especially if it lost in a crowner. Repeatedly doing this ("griefing") is grounds for an edit ban.
I think No. 1 might count.

So, Fast Eddie removed the image for Police Are Useless, saying that "Five vote crowner not good enough." on Oct 15th.
So, what should be done? Re-Vote?
