I've written 4700 words of my entry total, and it looks like I'll have to end it soon if I want to avoid going over limit. (Part of those words are the background I typed, so it might be less than that.)
The story is almost complete though! I can't wait to submit! <3
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughShould I go ahead and do Na No Wri Mo just for the community benefits, even though I'm not aiming for 50K words?
20% off of Scrivener by entering, with a chance to get 50% by achieving the intended 50k words?
That's motivation for me!

yes and no, using the structure to help me finish my work before New Year's to meet my one year goal for draft 3.5 of Nightmare.
as of the 2nd of Nov. has 6 weeks for a broken collar bone to heal and types 1 handed and slowlyYou can't start writing until Nov. 1, writing before that defeats the purpose. ... Unless your doing the whole rebel thing.
Eh, I just use google Docs and Wikiidpad both are free and work fine.

Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comwhat is the point of teh Na No rebels?
as of the 2nd of Nov. has 6 weeks for a broken collar bone to heal and types 1 handed and slowlySame challenge different way of writing, Non-fiction, Rule books, and continuations are rebels. Basically anything that isn't a Novel.
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.complanning on participating—no idea for a story yet.
DoodlesYou could wholly wing it, of course, but I never have.
I'm returning to my fantasy story that's evolved a whole bunch since two years ago when I did it. I got some good things then; hopeful of more this time.
A brighter future for a darker age.I see no problem rebelling by breaking certain rules, as long as the challenge remains a challenge somehow. This event should work in your favor. Unless you (general you here) really are a dewy-eyed writer virgin, then you probably have longer term goals in place and a better idea of where you can expand as a craftsman.
Tailor the elements of the challenge to fit your more advanced needs. The rules can go screw themselves.
A friend and I are going to participate. We're writing a novel that takes place 40 or so years from now where China takes over most of Asia and starts WW3 by attacking several Eastern European powers, including Russia. We're still in the baby planning stages of how it's all going to turn out, but we have the bare bones of our premise down.
I'm just going to go ahead, risk burn-out, and join Na No Wri Mo for the community benefits.
Anyone have Na No Wri Mo names yet mines pretty simple - Vyctori *

I'm same as here: animemetalhead. I pretty much use that username everywhere if I can.
No one believes me when I say angels can turn their panties into guns.My name is the same as usual and I found my story. YAY
Can't wait til we can add writing buddies.
DoodlesMy user name is "Chihuahua Zero".
Mine is just USAF713.
Also, holy damn, my concept is suddenly marginally cool. I didn't think I'd get anything epic out of routine curb stomp battles, so I added more supers, and my old habits from the last superhero story I did are coming back and it's actually kind of interesting.
Now just to get that interesting stuff on paper. o_o
Edit: Nevermind, wrong thread.

I am now known as Flyboy. We have to have a whole other username for this now?
We're talking about on the nanowrimo.org site, right?
Morven, of course.
A brighter future for a darker age. That was the intent when I asked the question lol
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comAre there any substantial benefits for registering at the official site? I don't have time to use both their forums and TV Tropes's.
Well, you can't get the official completion stuff (nor the discounts from vendors that getting that gives) without being registered and submitting your win. You certainly don't have to use their forums if you don't want.
It's also a useful way of finding out what your local group is doing; I'd recommend to going to local events if you can, it's inspiring (or so I found it).

A brighter future for a darker age.
I probably should get to hammering out my plot a bit more specifically. My idea this year is way more full of holes than usual.
Also, I hope the fifth writing contest judging finishes up soon, because then I can talk about my idea freely.
