I just don't use them. Too Awesome to Use and all that.
If I was forced to pick, though, I'd dump them all on Hubert.
Anybody else stuck on Kurt (a.k.a. That One Boss who you fight in the Slippy-Slidey Ice World)? And if you have beaten him, any advice?
I finally beat it this morning. Good lord, that boss is tough! Thing is, I beat with with only one character still alive and went through all 15 life bottles, so I'll probably have to redo it. The strategy I came up with is to set everyone to target the leader's target, then mow down the summoned minions fast before focusing back on the boss. Do NOT let him get in melee range when his eleth burst is up, he will murder you (that was my biggest problem - he eleth bursts a lot, and while I could dodge him, my other characters couldn't, and they kept getting one shotted, then attacked immediately after I used a life bottle to die once again). Also, if you have them, use weak charms, I think that's how he keeps taking down my characters so quickly (I couldn't afford them myself, so you might want to go grind same gald and stock up before you hit the glacier). Good luck, he is tough!
Just wanted to add, he is weak to poison, burn, and strike damage. Depending on if you have unlocked Asbel's poison abilities or not, you might want to actually bench him. One of the few times I'd recommend that, but since Asbel has no burn or strike abilities...
One way to do the party would be to control Pascal, and recruit Malik, Sophie, and Hubert. If you are controlling Pascal you should be able to dodge enough to keep her alive, and she has some very nice tools for crushing machine types(which the adds are weak to) and burn at her disposal. Don't bother with Pascal if you aren't controlling her though, since she will die in like two hits and the A.I. is pretty bad about dodging away from enemies. I didn't use Cheria for this fight because she just can't take hits like Sophie, and it is pretty bad when your healer dies in one hit. My actual group was Asbel, Sophie, Malik, and Hubert. Hubert is the one "ranged" character that actually seems to dodge away from enemies, and he has a few mechanical attacks to take out the adds fast, while Malik made for a decent dps that didn't die right away when targeted by the boss, and Sophie is a healer that can also take some hits. I used Asbel mostly because I tend to always use Asbel, but thinking back he might not have been optimum for this fight.

This game becomes so much easier when you have friends playing with you. Although Kurt was still hard enough that we had to turn it down to Moderate.
Can I just say I love CC? I don't think I can ever go back to TP after playing this game. Which is a shame, because I've still gotta wrap up Abyss 3DS.
Some more Costume DLC is coming out today.
I hear that there is a Code Geass costume pack DLC, it this true.
GOH! JII! RAH!I have to ask, is the pre-order DLC the same costumes that you can get in-game? Like, I've already gotten one from that quote matching game for Asbel.
I ask because I notice the costume DLC from last week just said you'd get the titles for them early.
No, and unfortunately for those who didn't get the preorder DLC, Bamco pretty much came out and said that they will not be available on PSN later.
GOH! JII! RAH!The costumes today are some tuxedos for the gentlemen, as well as some accessories for others. Okay, I guess.
Then they gotta go and throw in a DLC item that doubles your item capacity, and I gotta restrain myself from reaching for my wallet. That shit's tempting.
So what costumes have you all unlocked so far? I've only gotten the swimsuits and the goth lolita outfit for Sophie.
I only have Asbel's Dark Enforcer.
So I started playing this game last weekend and I'm enjoying it so far. A few gripes I have are the fact that the cast isn't utilized to its full effect (Cheria, Malik and Hubert seem to just be "there" half the time and Pascal spends any time she isn't trying to assault Sophie as an exposition machine) which is a shame considering that the cast is pretty good. Muscle Memory is my bane, especially when it comes to the A-Arte tree; I barely use half of them because I'm so used to using the other half. The fights have been pretty good... though I stuck on the Boar in Fendle (nasty Fake Difficulty there, the AI teammates are completely incapable of dodging the thing, if you had a couple of friends the fight would likely be a joke) and I'm probably going to drop the difficulty from Normal to Simple just to get the fight over with.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. One thing that annoys me in this game is that the stagger time is way too long. It's troublesome when you're ganged up by an enemy that combos you for massive damage and you spend too much time staggering, even if you're not paralyzed! Is there a Title skill that reduces this?
Dammit! Why can't this game come to 360? I'd actually be able to forgive Bamco for the whole Vesperia incident if it did.
"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-Ansembut (western) PS 3 owner dont get vesperia so it fair fair
Its honestly seemed like they tried to alienate the western fans.
"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-AnsemThe Vesperia localization became impossible because of a deal they struck with Microsoft and they paid for it, so probably not because of West hate.
The battle system is different from traditional Tales fare. Here, you get Chain Capacity, where your actions in battle are limited by a certain number. CC can be replenished mainly by guarding.
How far will your 20 pesos go?I was kinda disappointed that the Wii version wasn't being localised but as luck would have it my room-mate for next year has a PS 3 and apparently this is getting a PAL release on September 1 right at the beginning of term so looks like I have myself a game which is cool because I've wanted this game for years now and it is so uncommon for these games to actually be localised :/
I wonder if Xillia will be localized.

I have been playing this heavily over the past couple of months. This is the first time I have ever played a Tales game, and I must say, I am extremely impressed. The main storyline is extensive, far more than most other games I have played, and there is so much bonus stuff to do. The game has a fantastic sense of humor, while providing a genuinely good story as well (fantastic ending) and all of the bonus stuff exclusive to f is just icing on the cake. The skits and win quotes are great entertainment and despite what it says on the YMMV about the music being considered some of the weaker in the series, I love it, particularly "To a Sea of Dancing Snow," "I Want to Protect You (White Wishes)" and most of the battle themes. And the Costumes are neat too, especially the ones that change the battle and victory themes (I think it changes them to ones from earlier Tales titles?)
It's too bad that pre-order thing isn't still available, or else I'd purchase it. As it is, I've been playing it on loan from a local library.

It is mostly because I am so new to the game, I need the help! Haha. You wouldn't believe how fast I go through the game's version of phoenix downs. Heck, I went through twelve on one fight.
