Double Post because of big late night deals:

Jairus Byrd signs a 6 year, 56 million dollar contract with the Saints.

Even bigger,Aqib Talib signs a 6 year, 57 million (27 mil. guaranteed)deal with the Broncos. It appears the Broncos are truly going all in to win it after 2 years of very close, but not quite.

49ers traded a 6th for Gabbert

Really, it can't turn out any worse than 2009 Alex Smith, so I'm okay with this.

Here comes the Dream Team 2.0.

Demarcus Ware is heading to the Broncos on a 3-year, $30M contract($20M gtd.).

They are going really in it to win it this year. I have no idea where the money is coming from and how this is going to play out with their cap situation.

The Lions finally got themselves a good #2 receiver (and pretty kickass punt returner) in Golden Tate. He'll be missed in Seattle. He was a fun guy to watch, especially his catch against the Falcons this year.

Well, Chris Clemons is close to signing with the Jags

They don't normally sign players over 30 but they're making an obvious exception

Welp, any chance that Packers fans would forget Tate's role in the Fail Mary is gone now.

A moment of silence for the quarterback that was Brandon Weeden.

Moving on, after many "Fake Revis Sightings", this turns out to be real: Darrelle Revis and the New England Patriots have reached agreement on a one-year, $12 million deal, league sources told ESPN.

And to end a wild 2 days of free agency, Roger Saffold fails his physical, voiding his contract with the Raiders and returns to the Rams to sign a 5 year contract.

Wow.

The Eagles and Chip Kelly have picked up another speedy toy, in the form of Darren Sproles, former RB of the New Orleans Saints. The terms of the trade were Sproles for a 5th rounder. Our backfield is currently Lesean Mc Coy (2013 RB of the year, Most Rushing T Ds 2011), Darren Sproles (the first player in NFL history with 2,200+ all purpose yards(catching, running and kick/punt returning), in 4 different seasons (2008-2011), and single-season record holder for all-purpose yardage in the 2011-12 season with 2,696 yards) Bryce Brown and Chris Polk.

Prepare yourselves NFC East. This Eagles team is getting faster and faster. Have fun catching up if you can.

Brandon Weeden has signed a two year contract with the Dallas Cowboys. The three quarterbacks of the Cowboys (Romo, Orton and Weeden) are 33,31 and 30.

Who would you rather have as your backup quarterback? Brandon Weeden, or Blane Gabbart?

Probably Gabbert, at least he's got some miles left. Can't say the same of Weeden.

This whole episode with Desean Jackson is unbelievably frustrating. The Eagles FO has not made a single statement regarding what's going on, there are rumors flying back and forth all over the place, and I've practically developed an ulcer waiting everyday to hear whether or not he might be traded.

I've lost a lot of trust in the FO simply because they cannot seem to give us an answer. All Kelly and Roseman have been doing at the press conferences is deflecting the issue or joking about it, and it's driving me and every Eagles fan up a wall. What's even worse is the trolls who are trying to convince people getting rid of Jackson would be a good idea. Uh-huh. Yeah. Ok, you keep thinking that.

No word on Desean Jackson but Michael Vick is officially a member of the Jets

Prior to that move the Jets released Mark Sanchez

Rest in Peace, buttfumbler.

I always have trouble understanding Jets' strategy of taking risks on older washed-up players. As a Packer fan it's a rather alien mentality. Seems like they spend all their time and energy chasing after guys like Vick and completely ignore the draft. Seriously, I can't remember the last time the Jets drafted an elite player.

Also, Rex Ryan had better do something about that tattoo of Sanchez on his right arm.

Why, Chip Kelly? Why?

I'm sorry I have to post this, No Chorus.

Jones-Drew agrees on contract with Raiders.

Edit: The Eagles have released Desean Jackson after 6 years on the team.

WHAT. THE. FUCK. EAGLES.

Well, the Desean saga is becoming stranger. While up to six teams have inquired about him, none have picked him up yet. What is most telling is coach Andy Reid, his drafter and coach for 5 years, looked but did not make an effort to pick him up, even though the Chiefs have the room to do so. He must have been doing something pretty shady if even his primary advocate wont look at him.

I honestly think that the whole thing is just bad PR by the Eagles

If they really wanted to release him they should have just done it earlier when they realized that they didn't want to pay him. If they didn't want to keep him because they didn't see him long term then just release him at the beginning of FA and not drag this thing out.

Then with the LAPD themselves coming out and saying that Jackson was never in a gang or even questioned by police just confuses the hell out of me as to how a team could handle a situation so badly.

[up] Oh, definitely. The problem is there are only three people right now who know for exactly what reason Jackson was released: Howie Roseman, Chip Kelly and Jackson himself. None of them are talking which is absolutely infuriating for fans, considering that the front office is otherwise pretty open about its dealings.

The truth will come out about this eventually, and all I hope is that whatever reason the Eagles saw fit to release him was worth this headache.

Sorry for double post:

Desean Jackson has signed a 3 year, 24 million dollar contract with the Redskins, with 16 million guaranteed after only one visit with one team. Looks like he got what he wanted.
