Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but SBFF's is also the only short series to have a spin off comic. I think it's gonna be just fine.
Something I wanted to bring up a while ago, since it was announced that the Teen Titans could come back if the shorts were popular, does that mean if the other shorts are successful enough they could spin off into full 11-22 minute shows? I certainly hope it could, anyway.
...Where did you hear SBFF was getting a comic tie-in?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I read it somewhere after the first DC Nation trailer aired. I'll try to find where I read it.
My point was between all the shorts they barely make any more run time than a single standard short.
I mean, only 5? To cover for a full season? Really?
Remember, each 15 second short is commercial time that they COULD have sold. CN is choosing to actually forego making some money in favor of running these interstitials; maybe not so much, if they replace network promotions, but still, if you like these be thankful. It's possible they're sacrificing a few bucks to run them, and for a giant soulless corporation, that's something.
That kid dressed up as the Spectre is totally cool, man.

And I'm surprised to say this (because I hate all the stuff that's been done to the Green Lantern mythos in recent years) but I like what I saw of the cartoon! We'll see...

My god...well I just gotten off the DC Nation fan train now that I know I'm not gonna catch their schedule.
Seriously, the most highly anticipated action block of the year and CN puts it on Saturday Mornings?! Way to derail the hype train
Look I'm a fan of the Saturday-Morning Cartoon trope as anyone, but this is prime time material wasted on on a demographic who won't appreciate it. Sure DC Superheroes media are built with merchandising to little kids in mind, but you can pull off more ratings by appealing to a Periphery Demographic that is more available in the evenings. This should be going with Star Wars The Clone Wars and Generator Rex on Fridays or just replacing their crappy movie block, which really serves no purpose.
What's the point of having a Saturday Morning Line-Up if you're a Cartoon Network ? Why fill the remaining space with so little programming and unimaginative crap? No wonder there are so many channels on YT dedicated to archiving episodes and showing old shows. when the networks don't know how to fucking program their own channel.

I joined Tv Tropes to validate the merits of fiction and fantasy... sad isn't it?For once, waking up at an ungodly hour has paid off for me! Time to feed on the rage of fellow tropers
I actually wake up @ 8am but like a good 43% of adults on Saturday, I still got to go to work.
But yes by all means, bon apetit
I joined Tv Tropes to validate the merits of fiction and fantasy... sad isn't it?I'm just going to pirate it. Fuck waking up early.
Fight smart, not fair.Or you could, you know, record it and watch it later?
If I can't always wake up early on Saturday (or am in a place that doesn't have Cartoon Network, which is often) I'll just wait a few hours for someone to put it up on Youtube. That's what I usually did with Young Justice, since I usually don't have CN.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Great, right when i got excited that i don't have to get up early for ponies, this happens.
And the networks wonder why so many people flock to the internet...and then Cartoon Network makes crappy television shows that tries to appeal to the YT Generations with faux internet memes and appealing to Rule of Cool (For god's sake, they're trying to make a show out of the fucking Annoying Orange !!!).
Tis a cycle of violence and hate, it is.
I joined Tv Tropes to validate the merits of fiction and fantasy... sad isn't it?Sounds like another case of the network trying to kill superhero programming.
Someone in Cartoon Network should be fired over that already, because I think there's a case of the programming department trying to sabotage Timm, Co. et all for some reason.

CARTOONNETWORK PUT ADVENTURE TIME AND REGULAR SHOW ON MONDAY NIGHTS SO I DON'T STUDY AND FAIL!!! See how ridiculous that sounds?

Yes, and bellyaching about the theorising doesn't help either.
How progresses the development of this thing?
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish?Seeing as it airs this Saturday, I'd assume it's going pretty well.
—eyes go wide with glee—
It is?! Excellent!
...I don't see what there is to complain about.
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish? It's cause it's at 9 on Saturday morning and apparently everyone on earth except me wakes up at one o'clock.

And?
—Had Saturday hiking classes, had to get up at 7 AM.—
I guess no one else here had those.
This brings back memories of rising at 7:30 or even 7, to see Steve Irwin and Wild America before the Fox Box cartoons came on.

Yeah, A Wild Hare was 8 minutes. I always assumed these shorts are more akin to Star Wars Clone Wars, which were originally about 4 minutes per episode and played between shows I think (its been a while).
Also, DC Nation is only an hour long block with currently two full shows anchoring it (Young Justice and Green Lantern), with that CGI Batman show being added to it somewhere down the line. And there's a lot of other shorts being made. And all the behind the scenes DC stuff involving the comics and movies. They're cramming a lot into an hour-long block.
