Anyone ever get surprised by the feedback/reviews they get?:

Anything but artist
Well, I'm really surprised that I get mostly (maybe even "only") good reviews of my work, then again most (if not all) of my readers are (close) friends, still I got extremely surprised by a couple of my blog entries which became pretty popular.

Anyway, what I consider the best critic I ever recieved was from a friend's father, he told me (and I quote) "Did you really wrote that? Because it's pretty good, are you sure you didn't steal it?".
I'm not a native english speaker, please forgive my bad grammar and misspells.
Shadowed Philosopher
Just recently I got my first review saying that someone stayed up all night reading my fic. I feel happy now. grin

I'm pleasantly surprised when I even get reviews. Or when someone likes it enough to add me to their author alert list. I used to write nothing but crap (but didn't post it), but I got better. Now that I remember when I used to write terribly and can muster up enough objectivity to admit that it was terrible, I'm afraid of losing that objectivity. So I tell myself that it's barely above "proof of Sturgeon's Law material, " just to make sure I don't get deluded.
I'm an elephant. Rurr.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
