Harvest Moon/ Rune Factory

So, yeah. I've been play RF 3 lately, and it's pretty fun.

I'm actually looking into Two Towns. I've passed on most DS HM games for a while, but this one has me interested. The swapping mechanic is interesting, but I'm in it for the alpacas, mostly.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting it for my sister for Christmas.

two towns has been pretty damn boring/slow so far, but then, im not even out of spring yet.

but its so tough to keep going...

Also, I want to play a harvest moon game for the wii, but my tree of tranquility disc is broken. Is animal parade worth playing?

I can't decide if i want Tides of D Estiny for PS 3 or not....

RF 2 is the only one I have, but I absolutely love it.

The rune factory games are really awesome.

They are. But farming is different in Tides....you basically just tell your monsters what to do. The emphasis this time is on combat.

But now there's a new carpenter skill...:T

Hmmm. On one hand I'm thinking, YES! I DON'T HAVE TO SPEND HALF THE DAY WATERING CROPS! And on the other hand I'm thinking NO! I don't get to spend the entire day watering crops!

^ True, true. Part of Harvest Moon is doing senseless activities.

I am anticipating Tides of Destiny (or whatever they're calling here). It seems, though, that the girl character got the short end of the stick.

Sadly that's true. Guess I gotta be straight again. -_-

My DS's top screen is shot, so the only harvest moon game I can play is Friends of Mineral Town. Good thing that's one of the best ones.

I MAY get the new rune factory when I get a 3DS. Has that gotten a Western announcement though?

I've been told yes. I just haven't picked it up yet and my Wii has been packed up since I moved. I actually wound up pre-ordering Tides of Destiny on the PS 3.

So what's wrong with the girl stuff in Tides?

I really like Animal Parade, and do think it's worth a look. In some ways it's merely a Mission-Pack Sequel, so it's kind of a "replacement," but the proliferation of pets, rival couples, crops, and recipes means there's a lot to do, and the lengthened days means it goes at a very different pace. I certainly prefer it.

now that I think about it, the DS has a ridiculous amount of harvest moons on it compared to the other systems. Even more if you count Rune Factory.

The girl has way less suitors than the male. Unfair.

Animal Parade is the best Harvest Moon game, if you count Rune Factory as a seperate series(as you should).

Anyways, placed my pre-order. I have a feeling it won't be as good as Frontier(which I logged over 275 hours in) but it still has me excited

@OP So which female lead did you choose on RF 3?

Haven't got there yet, I had to restart the game after the sharance tree didn't grow bigger after the summer dungeon, though im going for carmen in my new game.

Gonna get the Wii version the same day as Layton & The Last Specter....Ugh. These three months are killing me.

Speaking of Tides, I know there are only three bachelors for the girl... but who are they, anyway? I can't seem to get a straight answer on that.

Nor can I.

Ugh. $50 is a lot of money..I'm wondering if Tides will be worth it. =/

Personally, I'd wait for a price drop. Even thought it would take forever.

The bachelors are this scrawny glasses dude, a burly guy, and a blond guy who wears a Mad Hatter hat. Yeah...
