Yep, and the second and third seasons are better than the first imo.
Fantastic show, woefully underrated. Despite the abrupt ending.

I actually liked the ending. And the beginning. And the middle. And all the other parts too.

I decided to buy the first season of Deadwood today, I've just got finished with the second episode..and Jesus Christ, it's awesome. My favorite TV show is The Wire but it just might be dethroned by Deadwood.
Too bad I heard the ending is rather unsatisfying, though. There's still the hope for HBO to air some original movies to conclude the story..but I'll decide my actual opinion on the ending when I've actually seen it, of course.
You can get what you want and still not be very happy.
