need a better image: Breaking The Fourth Wall get usage counts

The current Breaking the Fourth Wall image isn't that effective.

For my part I suggest one or two panels of this strip

Most recent YKTTW: Vehicles Bane

They might look too small reduced to 350 width.

If the image needs to be changed, I'd suggest this famous cover from one of the most famous Breaking the Fourth Wall comic books of all time:

[up] The problem with the CAD strip is that you'd need pretty much the entire strip to get all the context across; I don't think one panel is enough. The She-Hulk pic is great.

Its a pity the wiki doesn't have a way to automatically cycle though several page images.

I agree with Wilbyr, that one panel isn't enough, they could just be looking at some in-universe people behind an in-universe broken glass.

Here's another image from another famous Breaking the Fourth Wall comic book:

[up] That's Grant Morrison and Animal Man, right? Another great example.

I remember the example from Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door pretty well, but it only does slightly better than the current FFV pic.

The trouble is making the image an oblivious example, many of the picture here require significant reading to understand what's happening.

Aw, man, so many good examples. Think this one will end with a crowner.

[up]Thought you were linking to the film Footloose for a minute there and I was confused.

I found one from a pretty funny comic that actually addresses the fourth wall DIRECTLY, and LITERALLY breaks it. (I don't know how to add pictures, so bear with me please.)

Best part is that you can just take the last two pieces (as the first one might be confusing to those, but not a lot since it was relatively early in the series) and everyone would still get it.

[up] You have to use the picture uploader in the Tools menu to upload the pic to TV Tropes to be able to post it in the thread; otherwise, you'll need to use a hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket.

EDIT: Ninja'd.

[up] Heh, not bad...as long as that's not the whole of the cartoon, that'll be fine for a suggestion.

[up] That seems more like The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You, and given that we just wrapped that up not too long ago, and our current backlog, I'm loathe to start it up again.

...actually, I like that one a lot better than the current Fourth Wall Will Not Protect you /not helping. The one now is for some crappy fanfic.

Looks more Television Portal than The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You to me.

[up] A good option as well, although I like the Ring pic well enough to not suggest replacing it with that one.

Any idea why this thread doesn't have a link on the article page?

Edit: Never mind, now it does.

If there are no more image suggestions could we set up a crowner?

Zzzzzzzzzz
As funny as most of the comics suggested so far are, I'm personally not thrilled with the idea of using the "fourth wall is literally broken" concept. I don't know why.

Agree. Some jokes about breaking a "literal" Fourth Wall could also be interpreted as a Fourth Wall Psych. This is about directly addressing the audience, explicitly referring to their 'verse as a work of fiction, etc.
