I always thought he was black or mixed race.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Note how comfortable Todd is talking about Asian representation politics in the "Like a G6" review and his stark outrage at "I don't understand" in "Talk Dirty."
Compare and contrast to his frequent jokes about not being qualified to talk about black culture and identity politics (his commentary on "Young Wild and Free," "N***as in Paris," "It's Raining Men," a few others) or various comments he's made on Latino music in his Pittbull and Enrique Iglesias videos.
It's not obvious, but you can see where he feels like his opinion actually has weight.
I could always tell because of his voice, skin tone, and jaw structure. I'm Asian and I've spent a decent amount of time around other Asians my age, so I've learned to look out for these things.
but HOW?To be fair, I don't know many Asians.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Had a few friends in school of asian descent, and yeah, he looks exactly how I figured he'd look based on the jaw and the sound of his voice.
I actually came across his face quite a while ago. I'm pretty sure he revealed it himself.
Isn't he mixed? There's definitely some Asian in there, but I remember him saying once that his grandmother was Dutch.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Well he's mixed, since his name's Todd Nathanson which isn't exactly the most Asian of names.
Or adopted, but I'd guess mixed.
He reminds me of Dante Basco in terms of complexion.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? From what I remember, "Todd Nathanson" is not his actual name.
Just a person. He/him.Well, to be fair, his supposed real name, Kenneth Munson, doesn't sound that Asian either.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Todd is the most masculine, tallest 15-year-old girl I've ever seen.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I figured out a while back that Todd is at least part Vietnamese. A couple a years ago he Tweeted about his grandmother passing away, and he said she survived Axis Powers occupation during World War II and survived decades in a communist country. He also at the time had a twitter conversation with his brother (the guy's account description literally says "Todd in the Shadow's brother") about their grandmother's experience with "occupying Japanese" and about their mother's experience with the Tet Offensive. Then, out of curiosity I opened his brother's account and he was also tweeting about his grandmother's death. He referred to her as his ba ngoai and says used to speak fluent Vietnamese. So I conclude that he is Vietnamese on his mother's side.
God even though all these tweets are publicly accessible I feel like a bit of a stalker for knowing and remembering all of them.

I didn't realize that The Lady Miss Kiers had also seen his OHW video on Dee-lite; he's tweeted about the other ones before. Strange that one of his more positive OHW reviews got such a negative reception from the artist.
I guess he finally got senpai Posner to notice him. Seems like we're all looking for other losers to impress.
Negative reception? What happened?

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. What a very un-deee-groovy response.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I hope he'll review "Can't Stop The Feeling", mostly because I want another potential Eurovision segue.

Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.Alas for the nearing end of this Cinemadonna journey. I knew Todd would have plenty of material with this one.
Prediction of his opinion: He'll find it a bit underwhelming. It seems like something he'd do.

Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.Was the closing song the Postmodern Jukebox cover? If so, he gets MAJOR props for that.
Also, this quote from the video strikes me as particularly funny...
...because the first other example I could think of came from the duke of bro-country, Luke Bryan.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.
Didn't know he was Asian
