Religion in my writings? Hmm, well a few of my planned works feature Murphy, the God of Luck and Karma who interacts with the heroes. Not much beyond that. That is an awesome Punny Name for a god of luck and karma.

Maelstrom@ Bensen Dan: Judaism has hardly changed fundamentally from its roots, though it is more accepting of converts and is more active in the community, much as church groups are today. Instead of seeing the flight from Earth as totally disproving their beliefs, it is instead viewed as another exodus, and a test for the faithful. Due to a much lower population, women are more equal as well, with some being allowed to become leaders in their respective synagogues. More inherently "spiritual" religions and philosophies (ie, ones that aren't grounded in Earth history) such as Buddhism have stayed fairly strong.

Daniel BensenThat makes sense to me. I would imagine that Christianity and Islam would have to change more to stay relevant in space, but they have the advantage of enormous populations of faithful. ONE of those people is bound to have a spiritual experience and start a new church. I was playing with an idea for a space religion once. God is in the center of the spacecraft, the devil is outside. ...and that's it. :)
