Why so awesome, X-Seed? :D
I was also thinking this game wouldn't be released due to the PSP being on its last hurrah, but X-Seed saves the day. Can't wait to play it.
I spread my wings, fly away. The wind sweeps me off my feet, blowing me away yeah. Trees whispering to me. I'm feeling free now.Hurray!
I got a little hopeful recently when Marvelous was getting suprisingly coy about the game's release status over here recently. Since they just merged with XSEED's parent company, I had a suspicion this was in the works.
This is absolutely a must buy for me.
X Seed is the only company that's really supporting the PSP now. I guess Trails in the Sky sold pretty well then.
Not Three Laws compliant. What does this game have that makes it so good? Turn-based JRP Gs aren't hard to find.
Likes many underrated webcomicsDammit! What about Super Robot Wars?!?
What a shame. I guess it's no secret that Vanillaware's pooling all their resources into Dragon's Crown, but the PSP also being dead in the water probably didn't help matters much.

Both Xseed and Rising Star Games have confirmed that there will be English localizations of the recent PSP game Grand Knight History. It will be released both on UMD and the Playstation Network, in both North America and Europe. This has been reported on quite a few sites, including this Siliconera article: http://www.siliconera.com/2011/09/22/grand-knights-history-will-make-its-grand-debut-outside-japan-this-winter
This is a turn-based eastern RPG created by Vanillaware and Marvelous Entertainment. It is currently a PSP exclusive. Check the Wikipedia article for more details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Knights_History
I really wasn't sure if this game had more than a slight chance at localization. Outside of Japan, the market for PSP games has dwindled. Fewer and fewer games have been released in English. And it looks like the system will be replaced by the Vita in 2012. Since a few publishers are publishing Grand Knight History and a few other niche games on PSP in the next few months, I suspect that they want to seize this late opportunity to make money on the system.
