So, um, which voice actor did you think did it best in this series? Japanese or English, whatever.
What, like the one voice actor/seiyuu who was better than everybody else?
That's pretty much impossible to pick. They're all really good in either language.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.
Kakihara Tetsuya really knocked it out of the park as Simon. And Fukui Yukari is the ultimate in adorable as Nia.
Can't speak for the dub, never watched it.
I thought it was very good. I don't know if you would, though; you seem like a pretty big sub person from what I can tell. Meanwhile, I'm a big dub person. It takes a lot to make me dislike any anime dub. And by "a lot" I mean stuff like 4Kids or else So Bad It's Horrible dubs (Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, CLANNAD at first)

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.I haven't listened to the Japanese version enough to review it fairly, but I adore the show's English dub. I really enjoyed Sam Riegel's take on Viral, including the more rougher voice he has post time skip. Kyle Hebert nailed both Kamina's crazy Determanatorness and Big Brother Mentor status.
And Hynden Walch was also fucking adorable as Nia, with the change to Bridget Hoffman post time skip being pretty seamless.

*sighs* I really should finish this series. I'm only at the second episode, but I pretty much know about all the spoilers because of my past as a Spoiler Hound. If it looks so bitching good now, I wonder how much more epicly batshit chainsaw guitarplaying on lava on frozen fire on top of meteor flying at lightspeed thrown by a drill awesome it will get later on.

I actually like dubs quite a bit, I just don't really have the opportunity to listen to them anymore. I watch everything as it airs, and have completely ceased buying R1s in favor of importing JP releases.

I liked Kamina's voice in the english Dub, but it was weird because it sounded less gruff than I thought it'd be. Since I'd heard how much of a manly badass he was supposed to be, I was expecting something more [1]-ish. Course, Steve Blum was playing a role very decidely un-Steve Blum-ish....
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.^^^ Galaxy shurikens. That is all.
#IceBearForPresidentAnd its all done completely deadpan seriously at that. It totally fits the context too.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Yeah, the Serious Business tone of the show is one of it's most enduring traits for me.

Hooray for dub bloopers.
I don't really think dub-Kamina matches sub-Kamina's intensity. I think it may have been on purpose to make him seem less annoying or over-the-top, though.
Oh yeah and the blooper reel reminds me that Steve Blum as Leeron is actually the best performance in the show. It's the funniest shit.

Steve Blum is always at his best in a comedy role.
For everything debatable about TTGL, one thing is certain: the soundtrack is awesome.
Neither goony beard-men nor rainbow-haired she-twinks will stand in the way of my dreams!Amen.... It's what lured me to watching in the first place.

...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuTo me, it was all the hype that brought me to the series. Then I watched the scene where Kamina and his gang tried to get to the roof of the village with pigs(?) pile and saw the absurdity potential and I decided to stay.

Look, when a thread is temp-locked for fighting, making a new one and calling out a particular poster as a problem in the OP is a really bad idea.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
Wouldn't it be simpler to just watch the show and find out?
