So, several options were suggested over in the Gattaca Babies section I think could work here.

[up] I like that...people may grouse about the textiness, but the imagery is good enough.

I dislike it, due to the horrible art style and the unnecessary textiness.

The best alternative I can find is this, but there has to be some great sci-fi paintings out there to use if one just knew what to search for.

This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.

Eh. That one bores me. So cliche.

That was suggested in another thread. A close up of the two adults staring at the baby might enhance the picture. It shows the necessary portions of the trope with the added bonus of having parental figures in the picture.

This one focuses more on the fetus.

Here's a few others. 1, 2, 3, 4

(Yes, numbers 2 and 4 are real life examples.)

#1 is definitely worth considering...is that just someone's artwork or is it from something?

It's from an article on artificial wombs.

[up] Cool; if that's the one that ends up being used, we can link the pic to that article.

I like that pic too. I cropped it (so it would look better in a reduced size) and resized it, here's the result:

Is that okay? I think the uncropped image is a bit too wide to look good at 300 pixel width.
