Lotta room for improvement: Evil Gloating

All I can say about the current picture is: What.

Seriously, what. It's a combination of JAFAAC and bad English. The only reason it's up there is because of its memetic status.

So, replacement ideas? OOTS might have a good panel with Xykon or Tarquin, but that's really all I've got.

This is about the only example in the webcomics that might make for an easy pic.

Hmm I thought this was a DC super villain standing over a bunch of superheroes with his hands up cheering.... Let's see if I can find it.

Nope, we actually need the gloating in the pic; that's more of a victory pose than anything.

Wilbyr's pic is kinda freaky, but I like it. All we need is that one panel...

Opinion Myopia (assuming just because you think of the meme, it has to be the only reason). I put it there because in the actual game, the guy is gloating.

Yeah really, there isn't wrong with the picture. Even if you can't tell "evil" by looking at him(its pretty hard to get character from looks alone) his text box is clearly gloating about you dieing. Good enough, put the others on image links.

No, not even remotely good enough...we need something that's legible and completely unambiguous about the gloating.

Exactly. You need knowledge of Zero Wing to understand it. It's too ambiguous to be useful.

Does anybody else agree that Wilbyr's picture is far better than what we have now?

My vote is for Willbyr's as well. I didn't think it'd crop well, but...it did.

Perhaps there's the last panel of this◊ Bleach chapter, in which a guy goes on and on ranting about how amazing he is.

Willbyr's Endstone panel is rather specific to Would You Like to Hear How They Died?, which currently doesn't have a picture.

This is not JAFAAC. He's Obviously Evil and he is gloating ("You have no chance to survive"). Even if by some chance a person who would browse this site didn't know what Zero Wing is, it is a suitable image. And maybe if they clicked the picture, then they WOULD know what Zero Wing is.

While I definitely don't agree with this guy's reasoning, he has a point - it is an example and is visibly so. I don't like memes for the sake of memes, but engrish or not, this does illustrate the trope.
