The Manor Is Not Enough - Maid RPG

When Junko returned to the main garage and opened the door she found Hitsugi standing outside with her fists on her hips, looking heavily armed and extremely pissed off. Aside from the 'heavily armed' part, this was how Hitsugi normally looked, so she might have actually been staring at Junko in confusion or perhaps making lovey-dovey eyes at her, but to Junko this looked like a 'somewhat relieved' sort of scowl.

"I am pleased to see that nothing is on fire and that there no holes in the walls or floor," Hitsugi noted, leaning forward to peer around the garage, though she made no move to step inside. "Have you finished looking at that cellphone?" she asked, once her inspection was complete.

"Oh come on it's a week since the last time I did that. Anyhow yes I did, not really much to report there I'm afraid other then it was bulk purchased. I rigged up an alarm to go off if another one from the same batch is brought onto the masion grounds but other then that I don't think we'll get much use out of it." She shrugs. "Anything else going on now?"

"Mm. You're welcome Miss Kyla," Lisbeth nodded in acknowledge to her fellow maid, her still hidden wings twitching restlessly this close to freedom, "If you'll excuse me, I'm feeling like a shower this evening."

"Nothing in particular," Hitsugi replied. "The Master appears to have retired for the evening so the rest of the us are cleaning up for bed." Then, after a moment of thought (and another glance around the garage) she asked, "Do you still have the phone? The intruder was going to check in with his allies tomorrow night, so we shall have to send them some sort of response if we don't want to be attacked again."

"That's alright," Kyla said. "Hitsugi always gets all flustered when we're in the bath together. She says it's because she's not used to bathing with others, but..." She sighed. "She didn't get like that until I started talking to her and let her know it was me."

"Ahhh I should probably get cleaned up soon myself." says Junko nodding. "Oh sure I've still got it on me." she says producing it from he pocket. "And good thinking, course communication's not my forte...You wanna try?"

"Did she even see you?" Lisbeth asked. She too had noticed Hitsugi's skittish behavior around Kyla. It was beyond her why though. Kyla was fairly laid back and certainly didn't seem to torment the other girl in any way. Lisbeth shrugged, and her wings twitched again, "Well, she is fairly high strung to begin with. Maybe she just doesn't like bathing with others?"

"I... shall think about it," Hitsugi decided, accepting the phone. Turning it over in her hands to make sure that there wasn't any damage, she gave Junko what was probably a wry look. "At the very least, I shall hold onto it so it doesn't get damaged or lost in that disaster area that you call your room."

Pocketing the phone, Hitsugi tilted her head in the general direction of the upstairs bathroom. "Kyla and Lisbeth are in the bath at the moment. I've already bathed, but please call me after you're done soaking and I shall help you clean up the bath," she offered, waving for Junko to exit the garage past her. "I dare say you do not appear to need much help relaxing, despite the evening's events, so I expect I shall still be awake when you are finished."

"Maybe," Kyla said, "but it seems a bit strange for a Japanese girl like herself. By the way, you can go ahead and get in the shower now."

"Fair enough." says Junko. "And yeah good idea there, I just managed to find my rocket pack tonight after all." on hearing the bath situation she nods. "Right, I'll do a few quick checks of things in my room then head up there, I'll be sure to let you know when I'm done." she says heading off. "And what can I say, guess I'm just naturally laid back. Or I'm still dizzy from when mom dropped me, who knows?" she walks off laughing.

"Do I smell that bad?" Lisbeth cracked a small smile, "The Japanese can be a very odd people when it comes to privacy. Have a good bath."

With a wave, Lisbeth finally departed for one of the shower stalls taking care to close the door before disrobing. Finally able to (sort of) stretch her wings out, Lisbeth flexed them a few times to work out the cramping before turning on the water.

Once Junko had departed Hitsugi entered the garage and began carefully straightening up after the disorganized girl. When the garage was back in some semblance of order she turned out the light and closed the door, then returned to the study and REDACTED

. That done, Hitsugi once again fished a tumbler and a bottle of rum out of the bar and settled herself in one of the plush chairs, cracking open a weathered book pulled off of one of the shelves lining the walls.

Humming cheerfully Junko makes her way to the bath after checking on her gear and dropping the rocket pack off in her room. "You guys still in here?" she asks on entering.

"Ahh okay." says Junko shrugging. "Quite an exciting night eh?"

"A bit." says Junko getting undressed and climbing in the bath. "Someone's been buying those models in bulk, that's about all I was able to find. I wired it up so it'll let us know if someone with another one from that batch comes into the area. Not much but you can't win em all eh?"

"I guess not," Kyla said. "Of course, even just getting that much done is probably going to help us a lot."

"True. When you fall on your face your still moving forward I suppose." she shrugs. "So I assume we're all agreed that we're seeing this mess through?"

"Pretty much," Kyla said, "Though Hitsugi seems less than pleased about it. Speaking of which, do you know why she always gets so flustered in the bath?

"No idea, it's taken me a while to figure out what each different scowl means, I haven't even started trying to figure out how she ticks. Could be she just doesn't like group bathing or it could be....Oh how can I say this politely..."

Hitsugi find a notepad next to the Master's favorite chair in the reading area, of the same type of paper that Hitsugi found by the fireplace. Written on the current top sheet is a checklist:

• Bring home McGuffin Papers √

• Change safe combination √

• Have dinner √

• Tell maids I'm a spy √

• Tell maids about new maid arriving soon

The writing makes it impossible to make out the indentations of any earlier writing.

Having thoroughly washed herself, wings included, Lisbeth stepped out of the stall and wrapped her towel back around herself. Proceeding back through the bath she noted Junko's arrival. Good, the unstoppable tinkerer could probably use one.

Sipping her rum and pretending to read, Hitsugi pondered the last unchecked item on the Master's list. Apparently they would be getting a new maid - and after the big announcement, which meant that the new girl would probably be coming into this already knowing that Dan was a spy. Her laid back and/or looney coworkers aside, accepting the job with such foreknowledge was suspicious all by itself. Or, the jerk might just spring it on her after she arrives, or expect us to catch her up.

She would have to wait until she met the girl before she made any further speculation, though. Standing with a weary sigh, Hitsugi moved to replace the hefty tome and began strolling down the shelves, glass in hand, searching for something more interesting to read, though she did sort of wonder how many copies of the King James Bible Dan had. Every time she'd pulled a random book from the shelves it had been that. Wierdo...

Hitsugi is now looking for a secret door, since she knows there's one in this room. 1D6*LUCK=6*3=18[1]

Hitsugi is going down the bookcase full of Bibles, taken from various hotels Dan has stayed in. She finally pulls on a certain bible and the bookcase swings open, like a door.

Behind the bookcase is a rack of weapons. This is a much larger cache then the one in the reading room; there are a variety of knives, several swords, pistols, rifles, and even a small selection of smoke and explosive grenades.

Hitsugi looks and sees an old style wooden doll. Wondering what it's doing in a weapons cache, she takes it.
