Deliberately throwing the cat amongst the pidgeons and laughing over the result.

Well, for one, this thread probably would qualify. Why not PM the mods with this question?

Flamebait: N. A topic or item which draws in scathing remarks of negativity with little to no actual opposition or positive discussion. Alternatively, any item or topic which can be constituted as a flag to begin ad hominem attacks against someone.

Trolling: V. The art of deliberately drawing specific responses from people often for the "troll's" own amusement.

Oh wow.

Because saying the Hiroshima and Nagasaki were on the level of terrorist attacks is not inflammatory in the slightest.

Why should it be? I made my case, you make your case, that is the point of a thread, is it not?

Flamebait is a statement likely to attract flaming (angry posts). Trolling is posting on an Internet forum with the intent of provoking a negative emotion.

Deliberately misleading bait-and-switch thread titles, and the use of both strongly loaded terminology and intentionally provocative comparisons between two topics known to produce especially strong emotional responses, would be an example of both.

Now, locking this before it derails any further.

To the Athenians, Socrates was so much a troll they banned him not only from the Forum — I mean, Agora — but the Universe.
