Amusing. I like the callback to the prior Anvil attack and two days isn't unreasonable for figuring things out. I'm not really a believer in the "Dark Maxima" theory, but as was indicated by the classification of orbs near the beginning, discussing new capabilities in the open probably is not wise. Who's to say one of the vampire's bat components isn't hanging around? Or a microphone wasn't built into the golem such that they can figure things out afterwards?

Is it just me, has Maxima's shading gotten flatter? Maybe the intent is that all of the dust means she's less shiny?

And I agree that Super-Hearing would be highly dependent on being able to screen out distractions.

In fact, I think the analysis page for Required Secondary Powers even discusses that issue. I'm not sure if even Superman has that level of discernment anymore (sure, he did in the Silver Age, but that was the biggest power creep ever).

Also, to answer the author, Wolverine's senses outside of his sense of smell are normal. Wolverine's chances of hearing a given thing are the same as a standard person's.

To be fair, unless he was identifying a particular alloy or metal, telling whether a large impact hit metal versus non-metal is not that hard. I can do it and I'm not eligible for X-Men membership.

There is always power creep, of course, but generally, Wolverine's sense of hearing is just pretty good but within human standards. His benefit is that he can recover from overstimulation (such as really loud gunshots) or the like because of his healing factor.
