That could lead to three spinoffs
I want Michael to flee to Moscow and end up renting a room from a trouble-making old lady with a bad haircut, just like before.
I'm a skeptical squirrelWell it seems they are going to plan to move out of the country...with the aid of Patton Oswalt

Well, they did say that woman would have to chase them to the ends of the Earth. This arc will end like Frankenstein: Michael and Co are chased into the Arctic, live out there on spy wits, and be caught by a dying spycatcher who has one last meaningful conversation with them before kicking the bucket and calling off the search.
They'll then return to Miami for Season 7.
Even with the trick he pulled this most recent episode, I can't help but think Larry would be proud some of the choices Mike's been making this half of the season.
Edit: Actually now that I've seen the whole episode, including the trick he pulled with Schmidt.

Oh tonight's episode had him be a bit more Larry-ish too. Especially since we can't quite know whether the final line he says on the matter of his trick is true: All that matters is that I didn't want you to die, and you didn't. Said with a straight face and a cold voice that just dared Schmidt to push the matter.
We need a list of recurring characters that are still alive.
And I wonder what Michael's new job is. Maybe taking over Card's position?
Fi's never gotten Michael, has she?
He protects. His brother and his mom from his father, his friends from life in a CIA prison.
Not what he wanted to do, Fi. What he HAD to do.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117It's still a want. Really, pressure situations show what people truly want deep down. Though I think that's better in a way if it's a want instead of a need. Need means he has no other options. A want means that when it comes down to it, he values their safety more than the other possible options in the given situation. I'm not saying he wants to be part of CIA still. I'm just saying he WANTS their safety. A want is a want. And there is nothing wrong with wanting things.
Anyway, THAT'S how a finale should be done! Damn, loved it! ESPECIALLY because they kept the situation intense and building between Riley & Micheal, including actually treating her like a Final Boss of this part instead of a cop out where she gets killed off easily or anything like that.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.Aye, this was a villain worth hating for once. Instead of some nuissance that gets killed off quick.
She was way too smug for my tastes and I'm glad they brought her to justice by her own hands.
Can't really say if she was smug or not. Not sure, I'm not the best judge of such things always when people are actually competent... She WAS an obsessive fanatic at this point though. Just the way they built her up, progressively throughout season, her interactions with people, the way she antagonized all kinds of characters, rose the stakes, etc. Plus the sheer lengths they had to go to to defeat her and costs it had.
Just... I loved it from start to finish. There are elements from past antagonists I liked, but as I said before, I think they dropped the ball in finishing conflict. It was realistic, no doubt, but I don't feel realistic is always best in storytelling. One has to have sense of theater and spectacle. THIS was a case where those elements all came together. I was pretty much on edge of seat throughout this all. If that was a series finale, aside from ending with Fiona and whole arc about getting out of CIA, this would feel like great concluding part.
So yeah. I may still be on a high from just all the many things I saw great about this episode and it's making it difficult to see any flaws, but it just met my expectations and surpassed them.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Only a Season Finale, we get new eps next summer.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Her being smug or not isn't a flaw, it's just a style choice. IMO, it heightens things. Her getting overconfident and smug (It was really her facial expressions that did it for me, but that could just be the actress's face) made it more satisfying to see her fall. Especially the way they did it.
I know. I said if.
And know what you mean. I just personally wouldn't classify her as smug, that's all. Mostly because assurance in one's own skill doesn't automatically equal smug to me. That and really didn't feel like they ever focused on that end at all. She was just quietly confident she could get the job done and became more and more frustrated as she couldn't.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.Well, that's what happens when you take on Michael Westen. Sam did try to warn her.
As for Michael's new job, he's obviously high up in the CIA now. No surprise really considering how he took down Riley and Card and in so doing exposed quite the scandal. I'm guessing he's probably a deputy director now.
Just once more to the breech, dear friend, once more.So the question for next season: What does it profit a man to gain a great job and lose his woman?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Geez, judging from her reaction, I thought he'd turned himself in and struck a prison sentence deal for their release. I mean, the suit and orders suggest new job, but . . . seriously, Fi? Going to tear up over him getting a COMMAND POSITION that takes him OUT of harm's way?
In her defense, beginning of the season in Panama, he had promised her he was getting out. "Command position" isn't out.
She STILL shouldn't be bawling about it, but yeah.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I think she's justified in having a small breakdown about it. Put yourself in her shoes for a moment. Think about all the chaos and such they go through all the time over these past years in their life. That her & Micheal were making plans to finally get away from it all, settle down, and just have a peaceful life. And then after all those plans she's hit with the reality that still can't retire from this life.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Isn't a desk job at the CIA a peaceful life?
Michael doesn't strike me as one who would ever be happy behind a desk. He'll find a way back into the field and Fiona knows that.
Just once more to the breech, dear friend, once more. Most likely by doing the side jobs he has been doing with Fi since the beginning.
Burn Notice just got it's Burn Notice.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Well that's a shame, but every show has it's time.
The only way would be to send then team international, do wok for the French, British, Italians, stuff like that.
