It's alright, but I don't see her comment as an insult so much as Squick.
Well, like I said, it's a criticism, and the way it's handled covers the theme of Insult Backfire. (Which as I already mentioned might not be the best name for this trope.)
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartClock is set.
The text does all the work here, doesn't it?
Of course, it is a dialogue trope, so I guess that's to be expected.
And yeah it can do without the first two panels.
she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempeI'd say a bigger version of just the final panel would be preferable.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...The clock's been up for a while; do we go with the last panel or not?
EDIT: Hang on, I can't believe I didn't think to find this earlier...a couple of panels from this get the point across a lot better. The snooze is hit for further discussion.

What about this◊ one? It's only two panels, and even out of context it seems pretty obvious that it's supposed to be an insult.

Face the past and you'll fly ass first into the future. - My DadHere it is, edited up.
I still think the C&H one is preferable, since it is more concise and seems more witty.
I'll try looking for a bigger version.
EDITED IN: Ooh, here we go!

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThat's good, it's best to include as little dialog as possible to avoid TL;DR-ing.

Face the past and you'll fly ass first into the future. - My DadCrowner's up.
Also, the Drowtales one seems to imply that the Valshares is said character's mother, but it is not immediately obvious and so the point does not sink in as quickly. The C&H one, on the other hand, has all the context it needs.

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartGood point, and the C&H one seems to be winning by a decent margin. We can still put the others on the image page.
Face the past and you'll fly ass first into the future. - My DadWhile this is still an active crowner - should the Calvin pic win, does it even need a caption?
It probably doesn't "need" one, but if it were to have one I think we may as well quote what immediately follows:
"What is that splattered all over the drawing?" "Chunky spaghetti sauce!"

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThat works as a caption.
Reaction Image RepositoryWell, I'd say this is decisive enough to call. The pic's up, potholed, and tagged, and the suggested caption is up as well. Locking up.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
Granted, it isn't quite a personal insult, but it is a criticism based on one thing Susie sees as a bad thing but Calvin sees as a good thing; that pretty much captures the theme of the trope. (On a sidenote, perhaps Insult Backfire might not be the best name to reflect this theme.)
As for the first two panels, they're there to establish context. I'm not sure if they're necessary, but I figure I may as well first upload this with those panels included rather than excluded, since it's easier to remove them if we decide we don't need them than to look for them if we decide we do.
