I felt it in eastern PA. Kind of nuts.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I felt it over here in Brooklyn. It was really strange.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. We felt it in Jersey, too.
Well, I didn't feel it, but everyone else says they did.

Reporting in from Richmond here. Woke up (yeah, I was asleep this late) to feel like my bed was being shaken under me. A rather unpleasant experience, but no damage at my house, not even anything knocked off the shelves. Of course, the local news is going on and on about it, but they never have much to talk about anyway...
...Yeah, I got nothing.Don't think there was any damage. The news would probably be telling us if there were. I'd be more worried about the hurricane if I were in Virginia.
Third time for PA
geez.
If you felt it, you can help the USGS by reporting so here.
"This thread has gone so far south it's surrounded by nesting penguins. " — MadrugadaNobody in my house felt it. We must be numb.
A fistful of me.and like tvtropes... the site errors out =_=*
Here's a better link, because you'll see aftershocks as well (maybe).

The forum software here may murder that link, sadly.
"This thread has gone so far south it's surrounded by nesting penguins. " — MadrugadaThey were evacuating buildings here in Boston. I didn't feel anything but I spoke to some people at U Mass, and they said they felt it for like 10 seconds or so.
I think I managed to submit some info
Is it me, or does it look like people are overreacting a bit? I go to a news site and I see a picture of people grasping their faces in horror.
i. hear. a. sound. They're probably not used to feeling stuff like that.
God help them when the NMSZ wakes up.
Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold.Whats the NSMZ?
I pay my $100 a year in earthquake insurance for that very reason. They laugh now, but they'll see! They'll see!

i. hear. a. sound.Correct on the NMSZ but it extends farther than that, and interlocks with several other seismic zones in the region.
To add a bit more detail, the NMSZ produced multiple 8.0+ earthquakes in the early 1800's.
"This thread has gone so far south it's surrounded by nesting penguins. " — MadrugadaYeah, people are definitely overreacting. I think a large part of it is that this sort of thing only happens once a decade or so. When it does, everyone's like "Ohmigod! The world, it is ending!"
[Edit: Holy crap, you people are fast.]

...Yeah, I got nothing.Well I presume nothing significant was damaged, so we're all happy and good?
Okay. I'll just roll my eyes a bit for the time being and then call myself a hypocrite if KC every has a 6.0 quake and I'm jumping around being all nervy.

i. hear. a. sound. For parts of U.S.America that don't receive such events, I think it is understandable for different levels of reaction.
My mother and I felt the quake here in Connecticut, and I was so afraid that it may destroy our house. Scary!
