The picture for Scope Snipe is bad, because it's hard to see what's going on. Four freeze-frames does not a useable image make. Also, it's creepy as hell, because a dude's missing an eyeball.

I thought someone to his left (our right) was hit from the blood splash. Last frame has him looking uninjured, just mildly disappointed. Presumably the sequence was chosen to avoid gore. I got it eventually, but I agree it is unclear.

Agree with Camacan. Hm, I think I saw one on a history channel sniper special, I'll see if I can dig it up.

The idea behind the picture is good, but the picture itself isn't very good. I had to stare at it for like a minute before I figured out what was happening.

Maybe some screencaps from the Mythbusters episode where they re-tested it and got it to work?

Hm, the one I found has an obvious dummy and is staged, but gives a very clear shot of the event.

The third one works great you can see smoke out of both sides of the scope and it's hitting the dummy in the face. Very clear and not creepy because it's a dummy.

We could do a two parter with the second one on top. That's not smoke btw, that's glass.

I know it happens in the Sin City book To Hell and Back. I don't have that one, though.

There's one panel in Preacher from the sniper's point of view (that is, through the scope), crosshairs centered on the counter-sniper looking through the scope. Can't seem to find it though.

I thought of that one too, but I looked it up and he just shoots the sniper through the head without hitting the scope.

Much-needed bump, along with a MOTION TO PULL.

Against it. It might not be the clearest exaple, but it still is one, and the motion to pull comes off more as "the Op finds it creepy" than "it's not good enough". I can live with it on the page -for a little while more at least. Instead, I suggest to work on those Mythbuster pics and replace the current pic soon, so that we're not left with an imageless page and everyone's happy with the final pic.

It might be so, but what is visible on the image his just a "shadow" where is eye should be. I can't even say it's blood, really. Again, work with those Mythbuster pics and we'll se if we can switch it to something less... "gory".

I've got an idea, but no time to work on it right now...maybe tonight.

Eh, what I'm thinking of wasn't coming together. The idea I had was a simple silhouette of someone laying down holding a rifle and being the recipient of the sniping, with a BANG up in the corner of the pic. Anyone got better art fu and wanna try that?

Hearing nothing, let's lock up and hope someone makes a clearer version at some point.
