Ayn Rand had a point in admiring a serial killer like William Hickman that others are so quick to dismiss for being a wretched criminal, even if she didn't make it clear. The public heeps hate on selfishly motivated criminals as a way to scapegoat the ambition of the individual as if it were a defective part in the social machine that can easily be replaced, and the herd mentality promotes such animosity despite you or I in the same position would want to hold up our own ambition in defense of our actions, whatever they may be. Justice served should not thus equate to stepping down on the individual.
It is not, to be sure, a good defense of individual rights in and of itself, but it serves as an example of the extent of dehumanization we're willing to go to defend such a nebulous victim as society.
- China... IS my ancestral homeland...
- The Americans... DID help us out a bunch of times.
- Gays... are funny afterall... when they're not annoyingly noisy.
I thought I couldn't think of anything.. then I read the above post.
- Troll posts — count as opportunities to desensitize yourself vs teasing and mocking.
- Synthetic fabrics — they are very useful and flexible for most people, although I can't wear them for any significant duration. Also due to that proliferation, it's easy to cheaply get interesting material for sewing onto existing clothes.
- Jazz music — I do, actually, like some of it. Like some of the 'Sonic Unleashed' soundtrack, and the jazz Phoenix Wright remixes — sounding purposeful rather than aimless is good.
- 3d games — though they are far from being as visually expressive as 2d games yet, they steadily progress towards that level, in addition to having greater innate potential for the more micro-scale appearance of fractal-ness (which gives a more natural organic look than 2d usually achieves). Also the popularity of 3d games is what eventually lead to GPGPU, which is useful in many areas of 2d graphics, realtime and otherwise.

'Don't beg for anything, do it yourself, or else you won't get anything.'Young people with political opinions will develop a better understanding of political processes, which will put them in a better position when they grow up and grow out of their ideas. They might even learn to develop realistic applications of their ideology.

To their credit, mosquitoes are easy to kill.
They never travel alone. The current school system is good for crushing the dreams of bad teachers.
Fight smart, not fair.
I would, but i use hate for really bad cases only. eg, The military dictators of burma/myanmar, or gaddafi.
some things i don't like, but have decent sides, like the republicans. there idiots with alot of things and hold up laws that should be passed, but on the birght side they take outside threats seriously. sometimes too much, but at least there screw ups result in democratic countries some of the time.
I'm baaaaaaack
