Winter 2012

Winter 2011-2012 Anime is up, though about half of the shows from the /a/ list are not actually confirmed for winter, so I would rather not put them up until they are.

Though it's still likely that most of them will end up being released around that time, assumed from the announcement dates, credibility is golden, we shouldn't waste it.

I wouldn't say Milky Holmes is that bad. But then again, I've got really questionable taste.

Sankarea most definately will be on my watch list.

Sounds very creative.

High Schoo Dx D on other hand sounds like the most reverse sexist series I've ever heard.

Really,perverted men are stupid and should die for it? What gives?

Though thats probably just a first impression of mine, it might be better than it sounds.

Either way, Another looks good. Might have to check out Highschool Dx D. Sounds generic, but it may be worth a watch if they pull it off right. Which they probably won't, but what the hey

Ano Natsu De Matteru and New Prince Of Tennis had been confirmed for winter. On the other hand, there's some stuff on the /a/ list I strongly suspect has been cancelled (Seitokai No Ichizon S2 was last heard of in March...)

I moved the page to Winter 2012 Anime so it's easier to type and link to (the redirect still exists).

I saw the trailer for Backrock Shooter on the Winter 2012 Anime page. I thought that stuff already happened in an OVA or whatever. Is this a continuation?

Dunno, but at least in the video, at 1:19, I can read the letters TV, so it's legit, not just some troll retitling the old OVA PV.

Starting at 0:26, there's some footage that I'm pretty sure wasn't in the OVA. So I'm guessing the trailer is saying something like "You've seen the OVA, now watch the TV series!" or something.

Lookin forward to Black Rock Shooter. I did enjoy the OVA.

• Baby, Please Kill Me! anime confirmed to premiere this winter.
• Final ZNT season titled Zero no Tsukaima F and will premiere this January.

When adding new entries, please use a program like rsizr.com, to cut, resize, or retarget them until they cover 200x200 pixels, for maximum page consistency.

Wait, so JC will be airing five anime in the same season? Shakugan No Shana Final and Bakuman 2 are 2-cour fall anime which will run into the Winter, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes 2 had also already been confirmed for this season, and now they are animating two more projects? How much budget do they have anyway? Hidan No Aria did a lot worse than they hoped for, and even the Index money can't last forever.

That has to be the case. I don't recall any studio having 5 of their series airing during the same season.

Natsume Yuujinchou season 4 is confirmed for January.

So, on that chart...

• The new whatever-gatari is a must-see, obviously
• Another sounds intriguing, and PA Works means superb animation ; so sure, why not ?
• I'm vaguely curious about Kyousogiga and Ano Natsu De Matteru, although I'm reserving judgement until seeing the first episodes
• I didn't care much for the Black Rock Shooter OVA, but a full series might work out better
• On the 4-koma adaptation side, Kill Me Baby could be either decently entertaining or generic crap. Recorder To Randoseru is such a bizarre high-concept that I'm fearing a complete trainwreck, but one never knows...
• High School Dx D is certainly trying its darnedest to cross off all the "generic fanservice crap" checkboxes. Ditto with Inu x Boku SS for the moe-pandering version. These shows of course could be better than they sound, but I'm not optimistic.

Okay, Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki and Recorder To Randoderu added to our list. Not sure why they have Kyousogiga listed there, it being technically part of fall, and an ONA to boot

My watchlist for now would probably be the same as Magia's.

I actually enjoy JC Staff's yonkoma adptations (Azumanga Daioh, Potemayo), even though most of their more recent stuff has been of questionable quality, and I don't know the director at all (I have never watched Hatsukoi Limited, although I was planning to for the character designs)

Another's music is composed by Otani Ko.

I think I'm going to watch it.
