Taking a firm stance is welcome, but it's going to take much more than that to bring them down.

Speaking of the Assembly, a red mob has just broken into the Legislative Palace, reaching the hemicycle.

And yet not a single national channel is showing it. One has to rely in a colombian channel to see what's happening.

It's worth noting Globovisión did have a journalist describe what she was witnessing. Apparently they had their camera(s) stolen/damaged.

So, another dialogue. At this time. And a large chunk of those involved weren't aware of it (or so they claim).

I'm not holding my breath.

So, happenings. The Assembly formally declared that constitutional order has broken down, yesterday's marches were brutally repressed, the MUD did a 180 on their usual positions and called for a 12 hour strike and a march to Miraflores as ultimatum. What does everyone think of this?

[up][up][up] I think It's the result of international pressure (against the opposition) after the reds killed the revocatory like that, it didn't looked liked Ramos Allup wanted to do all that is happening now. We may have to wait a little longer to truly see shit hit the fan.

So how was the strike at your places? Around home we had a noticeable number of businesses closed down, but still for the most part as active as usual, and didn't notice a difference in transit either.

You know, if there is any consolation on Trump victory, is that maybe we get to hear some funny dialogue between him and Maduro.

Or not.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.

☑ A wild anti-establishment candidate appears!

☑ Promises to do away with the status quo.

☑ "Let's Make This Country Great Again!"

☑ Divisive, inflammatory speeches.

☑ "He has no chance to win voters with that rhetoric."

☑ "The media won't fuck with me."

☑ Personal attacks backfire.

☑ Deliberate polarization.

☑ "The elections are rigged!"

☑ Wins elections.

☑ "People who vote for him are stupid and/or evil."

☑ "This country is not like that other country."

—-YOU ARE HERE—-

□ "They won't be back!"

□ "Nah, I don't believe it"

□ Demonization of institutional checks against his power.

□ Institutional reform that results in a more centralized state.

□ Media demonization.

□ Anti-media legislation.

□ Takeover of other branches of government*

□ "We are democratic because we won elections."

□ Embracement of a previously concealed ideology.

□ Doing away with term limits.

□ Use of thugs to terrorize the population. **

□ Use of public institutions to segregate society.

And so on.

[*] Merely having party members hold them doesn't count.

[**] Random hooligans don't count, although the breeding ground is there.

Alright, I'm not actually that confident that things will turn out like that, but this definitely looks familiar.

"□ Anti-media legislation." yeah, tiny hand is going for it

"□ "We are democratic because we won elections." " yeah, that too

"use of thugs to terrorize the population" yeah the breeding ground is there

also, you forget the already check "My oponents are devil pawns of a super evil globalist conspiracy" I mean, you cant never left that out!

Yeah, that definitely should be in. Also "□ Solidarity with foreign authoritarian governments" (Putin and counting).

Though in the interest of fairness the 4-F coup was kinda important/relevant and Trump has no such equivalent.

□ Demonization of institutional checks against his power.

Attempting to end the filibuster (a procedure where any Senator can speak on the floor of the Senate for as long as they want to/are physically able to against a bill, until the other side gives up) is most likely on the Republican agenda.

□ Media demonization.

Happened during the election, with Trump calling several media outlets biased, corrupt, failing or liars.

□ Anti-media legislation.

Trump's said he wants to expand anti-libel laws, which may expose journalists to repercussions for posting critical articles.

It's been fun.

Oh yeah, I'm supposed to post here.

So the Narconephews (tl;dr: Cilia Flores' (Maburro's wife) nephews who were caught conspiring to smuggle drugs into The Empire) have been found guilty and won't be living the bolibourgeois life anymore. Of note is their use of state resources for their schemes.

The government suddenly recalls all 100 bolivar bills, the only that are worth a damn, giving them a 3-day period before they're worthless, even before the newer bills are out in the streets. In a country where many don't have any credit cards, and where cards don't even work right almost half the time because of 'system issues'.

This won't end well.

The riots in Bolívar are better described as a Bolivarazo, lynchings included. It's only fitting that protests started by the 100 Bs.F. bill removal would flare particularly hard there. Also, for whoever asked about this last time, many of those looted businesses were owned by Chinese people, five of which had their cars burnt down and one of which got lynched.

They're all Maduro's Yes-Men. This doesn't change anything, it's always the same lineup of guys rotating and switching their posts around with little rhyme or reason. They're all equally incompetent at anything they try anyway.

Tareck El Aissami is a thug, has connections with various criminal groups in Aragua (where he was governor until now) including collectives, and is under investigation by the DEA for drug trafficking schemes within the Armed Farces.

The rest of the nomenklatura swaps are unremarkable, but that one bodes badly for us.
