Finally found a trailer that will make you tear up even more than the Dead Island trailer.

To the Moon has sort of an Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind plot, revolving around a reverse-chronological story that spans a life time, about two doctors traversing through the memories of a dying man to fulfill his last wish.

"Imagine a world where doctors can rework your memory in order to grant your greatest wish… but there's just one catch: It will be the last thing you'll ever remember. If you had the chance to relive your life, would you change things? Would you try to achieve some grand goal? Could you find love? Fame? Fortune? Or would you realize that sometimes the past is meant to stay the same. Join Dr. Rosalene and Watts on their journey and travel To The Moon."

Okay, that backstory said, check out the trailer:

You can pre-order the soundtrack here and receive 7 tracks instantly.

Oh, and with a title like To the Moon and subject matter similar to Satoshi Kon's work, it sort of makes me think of Millennium Actress.

Damn...looks really good. So this indie game is downloadable or purchase?

Here's the game poster.

... damn you.

It's an indie game, so I imagine it'll be a Steam download.

?

Gonna hope it's available outside of Steam....or someone upload it as a download.

I love the look of the game, hate the look of the poster because of how jarring the difference in the artwork is, and will definitely be picking up this game. :D

Just like in the movies.
Looks great. I love adventure games, especially concept ones, so I'll definitely have my eyes on this.

:O

How is it? I mean, is it like a JRPG like its graphics seem, or is it more like an interactive story?

^Given that the thread title says that it's an Adventure Game, I'd assume that it's an adventure game.

BAM NECROING! Why? Because To the Moon is worth it.

Anyways, I finished a walkthrough without commentary today. My heart hurts now. I cried multiple times ad it was amazing. The whole story with Johnny and River was touching and the final memory was just...all of my tears. All of them. I liked the humor, too, as it lightened up the mood in between depressing scenes. "FREE PONY RIDES IN SPAAAAAACE!" x3 Oh Neil, you so funny. Till I found out you were addicted. I said to myself, "OMG Neil no you too good for this!" Good sequel bait, though. And then the soundtrack...more feels! ALL OF THE FEELS!

Don't think so.

By the way, Ken hangs around TV Tropes. Maybe if we all clap our hands together, he'll say a word or two. tongue

Umm, yes it has been... At least far longer time than what it has been on steam. I remember it being among first ten indie games there .-.

I just finished playing through the whole thing, start to finish, pretty much one sitting. And damn am I glad I did that. It really was a beautifully moving experience.

I bought it this morning, and finished it in about four hours.

Those were some of the best four hours I've ever spend in my life. Absolutely beautiful.

Quick question though: is there some incentive to finish Act 1 by preparing all mementos with as few moves as possible? Like, a secret ending or something, or just a few extra lines of dialogue?

Thread necro! That was...a beautiful game. The music really sets it off too.

And yes, I was wondering whether anything happens if you complete everything within the ideal number of moves too...

Oh, thanks for pointing that out.

I have no idea why, but I was playing the whole thing with an incredibly stupid smile on my face. I wish they'd release the next game already. I love this stuff.
