Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

Tense describes a lot of Tony's close relationships. His friends aren't immune to his skin-burrowing tendencies by a longshot. And no, it's not "every single" exchange between them. The end of Age of Ultron, if nothing else, was an amicable parting.

NOMUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAA!!! >:(Only if you ignore the "macho abrasive competitiveness" style friendships.

He laughed at Tony's schwarma jokes. They laser-shielded together. Tony built him new gear and let him be leader of the team. He even used one of Cap's lines to counter Ultron's boasts.
They've always felt like squabbling siblings who still love each other.
Also, my political platform is now 'Captain America drop-kicking people off of tall places.'
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectMine is Cap and Bucky kicking Tony's ass together.
The bits of Black Panther got me super hyped. And so much Bucky screentime, kinda feels like they're making up for him being underused in TWS.
Okay...NOW I am excited again. I feared that the trailer wouldn't do it for me after having to wait for it for so long, but this one really showed that they know what they are doing. The focus on Bucky. The reasons why they start to fight. My highlights:
Bucky!!!!! (I think I will be on Steve's side about this one)
Natasha!!!! (Naturally the writers haven't forgotten how close her friendship to cap is)
The action!!!! (Action tends to bore me, but the one in The Winter Soldier was excellent...and this looks just as good)
"So was I." (Me heart broke!)
That bit at the beginning really interests me. Though the trailer doesn't focus on it, it looks like the plot is going to involve someone - almost certainly Zemo - pulling some sort of conspiracy and pinning the whole thing on Bucky, who after all is known by now to be HYDRA's most effective agent - Framing the Guilty Party at its most effective.
Cap goes rogue to clear his friend and go after the truth, while Tony and such have to hunt him down because, well, he's gone rogue and is now aiding one of the most dangerous criminals in history. Very "classic action movie."
I am a tiny bit disappointed that it seems to be primarily about that and not the evolving superhuman situation in general (that is, that Cap isn't rebelling because of how superhumans are going to be treated, but specifically because the law is keeping him from helping Bucky), but it is only three minutes out of around two hours of movie. There's bound to be a lot more we're not seeing.
Also, I'm totally still believing Cap is going to kick the bucket after this film. What little we see feels lot like an almost origin story for Bucky Cap - it looks like there'll be a lot of focus on him coming into his own.
And, finally, we got two seconds of Black Panther and about half a second of what looks like Wakanda. HYPE!

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Star-Lord bobblehead.
I like this guy, he seems very enthusiastic about the movie, but in a totally earnest way, which is nice.

Awww, man. I was close to tearing up at "But he's my friend. So was I."
I could understand their friendship breaking forever if something happened to War Machine.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Is robert downey confirmed for future films? If not, I could totally see Iron man dying in this film instead of the good cap or others.

"Your Sig is now charmingly out of date" — Vox, 7/6/2016He is contracted for one or two more.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Damn, after seeing the trailer I really began to think that this would be as good a film as any for iron man to get killed off for real. It would be a rather climactic time for it.
"Your Sig is now charmingly out of date" — Vox, 7/6/2016Well just because you're contracted for another film doesn't mean the studio has to fulfill the contract, I believe, especially if the actor is cool with it.
The actor does have to show up if the studio enforces it.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."I believe RDJ and Chris Evans have already been confirmed to be in both of the Infinity War films. It's not impossible for them to be ghosts/flashbacks twice in a row but chances are they'll survive the end of this film. But not necessarily intact.
They both die.
Rhodey becomes the new Iron Man and the Falcon becomes the new Captain America.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Pffft, that'll certainly be a mind blower if it happens.
"Your Sig is now charmingly out of date" — Vox, 7/6/2016It also looks like that Wanda is on Steve's side. And apparently she can fly now?
Oh God! Natural light!Holy shit.
That trailer was amazing. I'm so stoked for Civil War!
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. To me the trailer was pretty good. I'm sure that I would like the movie when I watch it but the trailer didn't get me hyped like the latest Star Wars trailer or the Batman v Superman trailer.
Though to be fair I wasn't really hyped for the Force Awakens until the final trailer was shown. The reason I'm excited for Batman v Superman is because I do prefer DC and most of the superhero movies I've seen as a child were Batman or Superman and it is great to finally have them in a live action movie together.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm so happy to see Black Panther is trending on Twitter.
He reportedly doesn't have a very big part anyway, so there might not be much to show yet. It's wise to save him for the next one.
Also I noticed little to no Vision in this one.

See, I don't buy that at all, because every single previous exchange between Cap and Tony in the MCU has been antagonistic and fraught with tension, and there's been very few examples, if even that, of them being friendly with each other in the movies.
