Google shows that the general usage of this term does not match our usage.
That would be a problem, because then we're going into descriptive vs. prescriptive territory.

The usage page says it brought 1154 people to the wiki, but we don't know if those people came from this title or a redirect, so that doesn't help. Google shows that the general usage of this term does not match our usage.

Yes we do - clicking redirects gives their own usage statistics, so all of those are for the main trope name.

Actually, while the "Related" page does list wicks separately for the redirects, it doesn't count inbound links separately for redirects. Unless it used to be a main title, in which case its "Related" page retains the inbound links from before it was retooled into a redirect.

I didn't write any of that.

Renaming it Where Did We Go Right (with Springtime for Hitler as a redirect) would keep a reference to the movie, and is pretty much instantly obvious to someone who hasn't seen it. Whatchas think?

Actually, I'm not seeing much use of Springtime for Hitler in use outside of either pieces about The Producers or cheeky headline writers (who will mangle damn near anything to get a clever play on words in - I speak from experience). Granted, those headline writers are using it in the spirit of the Show Within a Show (i.e. that things are looking brighter for you-know-who), but I don't know how much credence to put into what some copy editor slapped on top of an article.

I have seen it referenced off-the-cuff by a friend who didn't know I was a troper in the sense used here, but that's admittedly anecdotal.
