I've never seen the anime, but from what I know about it, why not? Samuel L Jackson! Actually, it's probably going to be way more faithful than any other Hollywood anime adaptation in the works.

Why are you facepalming? Jackson has had loads of creative control over this franchise, so he'd avoid making it suck.

sigh....everytime I read "Jackson", I immediately ignore the first part of the name and see "Michael Jackson" instead...that woulda made me interested..."Thriller with samurais"
