The robes are irrelevant.
Still, nothing was said about what effect they may have, from what I could find. And the robes makes the hairy demon far easier to animate (and its models quite lower poly).
So you guys know how the original eight Chosen/Partner Digimon were Color Coded (Orange, Blue, Red, Purple, Green, Gray, Yellow, and Pink)?
I was thinking who would be Brown? (The Digivices are White by default and I'm not sure about Black happening during that time).
Unless I missed something each Digimon comes from one of the different V-Pet/Pendulum egg families that existed back then. IIRC the only Baby Digimon left are Zurumon (Gazimon/Gizamon), Mokumon (Bakumon, Candlemon, Demi Devimon), Choromon (Toy Agumon, Kokuwamon, Hagurumon).
I vote for Mokumon with Candlemon as his Rookie. I like the idea of Candlemon-Wizardmon-Pumpkinmon-Boltmon. It's a very Halloween evolution line. Also I see parallels to the Wizard of Oz with The Wizard, The Scarecrow, and the Tin Man (Boltmon even has an Axe).

Headcanon: Daemon's robes are heavily weighted for the purpose of honing his strength and taking them off makes him more powerful by allowing him to fight unencumbered.
Great, now I'm thinking of Piccolo and Rock Lee.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySo I finished the Let's Play of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth.
Obviously since it was all in Japanese, I missed a buttload of details, but that's why it's great that it's getting translated soon.
It was quite the story truthfully. In fact, it would have made a nice anime.
One Strip! One Strip!Read this fan traslated character bio for Tri. T.K.'s made me raise an eyebrow...
Live your life.>Takenouchi Sora- I think she's enjoying her teenage years the most normal of them all, among the gang. You'll see how the energetic girl who loved sports changes her interests little by little to those that are more suitable for a woman.
> More suitable for a woman.
I'm not a woman, but I feel I've been kicked hard in my vagina by a gorilla with spiked sneakers.
As a rational person that judge people, not countries, I want to punch the face of who wrote that.
Specially because japanese women are vastly superior to men in vollleyball and football(the one played with the foot, and a ball) last time I checked.

You claim that God is opressing us, but I see you opressing others without needing a God.That line annoys me so much, that's low even for japanese standards. But this is basically the reason why I consider Mimi a vastly superior (and stronger) female character, you can be feminine without pulling a complete 180 in your personality, you don't need to be an amazon or something like that. I hope it was somehow mistranslated, but something inside me says it is not. I've watched 02 after all.

And Kari is apparently a "typical Onii-chan kind of person". Because being a Satellite Character is typical, apparently.
I'm hoping that whoever wrote these things isn't actually writing the show, those are just putting the characters into shallow archetypes while saying as little about them as possible.
The "onii-chan" types are pretty typical in anime if that's referring to what I think it is - younger sisters with creepy attachments to their big brother (for pandering purposes).
Between that and Sora's bio I hope these aren't accurate at all.
The one for Sora could have been phrased better but it's not like the one for Kari isn't true.
I will give you that about Kari, but still, "how the energetic girl who loved sports changes her interests little by little to those that are more suitable for a woman" is way too blunt. I wasn't Sora's biggest fan already, but if that turns out to be her great character growth in these movies then her character will be dead to me.

Yeah, it's one of those shallow archetypes. I initially read it as if it was trying to describe an actual person, instead of referring directly to a trope (Amusingly, that makes the description sound disinterested "Yeah, she's a typical archetype you've seen before, nothing exciting here. She also likes photography, I guess")
I don't understand this translations that keep the honorifics and this little expressions that can be easily translated. I don't know one language without honorifics.
You claim that God is opressing us, but I see you opressing others without needing a God.Well my hype went down the tubes.
Live your life.Izzy's also going down the typical route, but it's not worded as shamefully as Sora.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyOff-topic, but what would be a good line for Examon, Qinglongmon, Chaosdramon, and Moon=Millenniummon that involves them being Burst Modes/Evolutions?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Eh, character bios like that are always meant to be shallow summaries for ease of communication. I'm not expecting detailed character nuance and examination.
I'll honestly withhold judgment until the series itself premieres, since pre-release information like this almost always ends up trivial or outright worthless.
Daemon still wasn't going all-out anyway since he hadn't thrown the robes off.
